Beware! Glass Broke while in Tank!
I received my heater on the 20th and it was in good condition and worked great. It kept the water temperature at a set 78degrees....BUT TODAY....only 6 days later, when I was doing my 50% water change, I came to find out that the glass had popped! Fortunately non of the glass had broken off while inside of the tank. Only once I removed it, did it finally fall apart. I a very disappointed that this happened and my husband and I do not understand why it happened. It was placed by the filter so that a constant flow of water would move pass it as recommended. So what would cause it to pop. In my opinion, it is really unsafe for aquariums.****UPDATE****Two days after posting my review I was contacted by the Mylivell seller though email to rectify the problem. I am highly satisfied with their costumer service and professionalism. They were very sincere and prompt in their replies. As of right now, I have the new heater in our 36gal. It has been six days since the setup of our new tank and the heater appears to be doing fine. Just as the previous heater did, this one is also keeping the water at the set temperature. My husband and I genuinely hope that the popping of the glass tube on the previous heater was just an isolated event and will not happen again. But If another issue should occur I will be sure to post an update.1/17/20

Great deal
Good deal, works great and turns on and off correctly when it gets up to temp.Temperature settings knob is a bit confusing but works as intended and looks really good in tank.

Not raising temp above 72 in a 15 gallon tank
100 watt Mylivell heater not raising temp above 72. i have checked with thermometer comparing against other tanks so the thermometer is good. I have changed electrical receptors. I'll have to put old 50 watt heater back in.On Dec. 16th they said they would send a replacement. As of Jan 9th I have not seen a replacement or heard from them again.I did receive my replacement and it works great.

Terrific aquarium heater
I have this Mylivell heater in my 10-gallon aquarium. It is very accurate, easy-to-use, and hasn't budged from the spot I put it in originally so the suction cups are great. It keeps an even temperature in my tank and performs flawlessly. I am very happy with the product.

This has been working great for over 2 years
I got this a while back but didn't bother to review it until now. Initially I was worried about all these off-brand aquarium heaters that significantly cheaper than their more well-known competitors. Quality control is a serious issue for those who are buying equipment to take care of a living animal. Amazingly, this heater is still going strong at 78°F and I haven't had any problems with it overheating or breaking apart.Though I'm not sure this can be said the same for everyone else who got one. There will always be defective units so I'd make sure you put this in an empty tank for a week just to make sure nothing is wrong at first.

It works?
My significant other is a teacher. Had a tank in her class room. The pandemic hit and we spent some amount of money to save her classroom fish (gold fish - 2 that have grown to about 6" long) in a 55 gallon tank. 72f is as low as it goes. I'd like 70 or even 68 to give it some room to warm during the summer is one down fall. BUT it keeps the tank at 72 while it is 65 in that room which is as cold as it can get unless a window get's broken or something crazy. I've have had it for 4 months or so. Seals seem ok, as my last heater got water inside it just after return policy expired. For topicals or salt water and you have a 55 gallon tank or a bit larger. This heater works well.

Malfunctioned one night and all our fish died
We have used this tank heater without any problem for a year. We woke up this morning and all the fish are dead. The heater malfunctioned during the night and killed all the fish. The water in the tank was 100°F when we found it. Ya the heater is cheap, but it might kill your fish. And our fish weren't cheap.
