Giving this tape 5 stars might be a little premature because my husband and I just used the tape on 5 throw rugs in our living room and dining room. Fortunately, so far, it is working perfectly and the rugs have not moved at all. However, after reading some reviews from people who had difficulty cutting the tape with scissors, we thought we would share a helpful tip. My ingenious husband discarded the scissors and used a single edge razor blade to cut the tape to the desired length. It only took seconds, and the tape did not stick to the razor blade. It was so easy that after watching him do the first 2 rugs, I was able to complete the job myself. Don’t struggle with scissors. Use a single edge razor blade. I hope this helps!

I don’t usually write reviews which is terrible because I rely so heavily on them but I couldn’t not give this item the credit it deserves. Used it for an area rug in my children’s playroom. Was easy to apply, and kept the rug in place for 10 months. I just lifted the rug and the tape to reapply and it left ZERO residue on my hardwood floors. You can see from the pictures where the tape was and where it was removed. Of course the floor is dirty but there is absolutely no sticky residue left behind. IF YOU WANT YOHR AREA RUGS TO STAY IN PLACE WITH WILD CHILDREN PLAYING, A DOG RUNNING OR VACUUMING BUY THIS TAPE.

Can't believe I haven't left a review for these yet! I've used four pieces each on two of my 5ft x 7ft area rugs and they have held up for all four years of me living at the house I rent. The sticky pieces come off easily and I have never once had an issue with the corners coming up. I am currently buying more to use at my next rental place.

Holds everything down, but not for wood floors. This kept our puppy’s mat in place but after just a few days we made an adjustment and it ripped off a ton of varnish from our hard wood floors. Heating it helps with removal but does not entirely eliminate pulling of the varnish. Fortunately it’s in an out of the way corner, but the damage is definitely noticeable. As far as the tape itself, it is very effective on smooth surfaces.

This tape really works! I've tried cans of carpet spray previously, but the spray never worked. This carpet tape is awesome! Our hallway carpets haven't moved an inch in weeks with this tape.

Purchased to stick stair treads on wood steps indoors for safety. Tape was easy to apply and remove the backing. It does the job that we intended it for. Tape is approximately 2 inches wide.

Super strong keeps the edges of my carpet down and is pretty easy to apply to the floor. Pulling it up is pretty easy with some strength and doesn’t leave residue. I’ve hung pictures with it and haven’t had any paint peal of with it too.

Not as durable as expected. Heat lifts it very quickly. Not fire heat but summer heat. It appears safe to use. The width is reasonable but the sticktuitatveness needs improvement based on description. Cleaning it off is easy as it just rolls of the surface.
