How do change the quad leg to the single

I had problems with my light also. First I tried a metal washer between that batteries and thread on cap, but I couldn't get the cap on. So I put the washer between the batteries and that solved the problem, but occasionally if I drop it, the flashlight will come on by itself. Think I used a #10 washer. Some tinfoil may work too.

what is the weight limit?

I believe 300 lbs. I wouldn’t order this cane again. It falls over repeatedly even after I bought and changed the quad foot. Due to repeated falls the light stopped working soon after I got the cane.

Need parts for pivoting quad base? My husband lost one of the bottom rubber parts.

If you type in replacement parts for big Alex cane, it gives you the parts. I think the quad foot replacements are around $7-$8.
