Very functional pour-over, but also beautiful. It costs a bit more to have the copper version, but since using every day it was worth it.

After my glass Kalita fell and cracked into pieces, sprung a decent amount for this version, rationalizing the cost by saying this will last a lifetime. I am so incredibly happy I did because I did not anticipate what incredible craftsmanship and material this coffee dripper is. To know that it was made by hand, and it's bright lustrous copper body makes me want to display it proudly. It's a functional piece of art.The size of the holes are just right and the brew I make seems to be not as acidic as my glass Kalita. I probably never found the correct grind and pouring time for my glass Kalita, but the one I use for version work perfectly (about 50 grams water per 12-15 sec pour, total 250 grams water per 15.2 grams medium grind coffee using my Capresso 560.01 Infinity Burr Grinder, first pour is ~40-50 grams and let it bloom for 30 sec).

Excellent material, coffee flow and brewing are to my satisfaction. I use it daily. Here's a tip, rinse, dry and reuse the paper filter as a sustainable practice.

Definitely elevated my coffee making

I've used a Keurig for years so I'm not exactly a coffee aficionado. But I'm retired now so I decided to step back from the K and go with a more relaxing routine. A pour-over was just what I was looking for, and this little dripper is Japanese Elegance with a capital "E". Easy to use, easy to clean, and it turns your morning routine from a 3-minute "come on, come ON..." to a relaxing introspective pause. This version is definitely the one-cup (8-ounce) size but that was precisely what I wanted. To the craftsmen of Tsubame, I salute you!

I really like it. Brew process with kalita is enough easier than with V60. And with Tsubame edition this process is not only easy but also aesthetically pleasant.

Lip around the bottom keeps the filter from clogging unlike other Kalita drippers.
