Play it safe and protect yourself from the sun when outdoors. I've read that each time you get a sunburn increases your chances of developing skin cancer. This hat is perfect for me when saltwater fly fishing... I tan easily and rarely get sunburned, except when I'm out on the coastal waters; then I need protection. This hat is very light, stays on, has nearly invisible ventilation holes, and an adjustable chin strap for security. I greatly prefer wearing a sun hat to slathering on sunscreen lotion.It also has a clever design feature where the front and rear sections of the brim are stiff, while the sides of the brim are soft. This keep the brim from sagging over your eyes or sagging onto the back of your neck. It also prevents the brim from flapping in high winds. I once tried a "desert" type ball cap with a sun shield on the sides and back, but the soft/loose fabric flapped in the wind and drive me nuts; money wasted. This hat doesn't do that. I'll be wearing this comfortable hat to keep cool on sunny days, not just for the SPF 50 protection it offers. I got the blue one and love the camo pattern.The hat came shipped flat, so there were no troublesome folds to try to work out of it. It has a draw cord inside the wicking head band to adjust the hat size via a cord lock on the outside rear of the hat. I usually wear a 7 1/2 or 7 5/8, and the hat was a snug fit with no adjustment of the cord. (If you wear a large or very large hat, this one might be too snug for you.)I enjoy lots of outdoor activities and have amassed a lot of hats over the years. This one is a favorite.

I love this hat. The material, the pattern and the colors. I got it because it was a bargain. But the crown of the hat is too narrow and too shallow. So it barely fit on the crown of my head and wouldn’t be low enough to provide coverage from the sun to my face and neck. I bought it for kayaking. So my son took over and he loves it. But even though he is ten it’s almost too small for him. I wish there were a bigger size! I would buy another one.

I really love wearing this hat when I am working in my garden or out in the sun for other fun activities. I did quite a bit of research to find a hat like this and at a price I could afford. I am pleased with this hat and the protection it provides from the sun. It is light and yet with the chin strap, it stays on even when windy. It has breathable fabric so my head doesn't get too hot. I love the color and style. This hat will last me for a long time and I'm happy to have it.

Perfect fit, size and comfort. Excellent quality! I wore this swimming because my scalp tends to burn. Not only did it spare the burn but it also protected my face and added extra eye protection. I will definitely wear this every chance I get!

Comfortable and great fitment.

There was a crease across the front which doesn’t come out. Probably only noticeable when you come up close to it, but it works. Took it out in the sun for a day of fishing and it kept my head cool and out of the sun. I was out fishing for about 3 hours straight. I’d rate it higher but the size runs slightly small, and the crease. But don’t let that stop you. Good hat for fishing.
