This is a great cushion. The waffle design makes it a lighter weight than a solid gell cushion, leaving it soft and flexible but still providing surprisingly good support and tailbone protection. I ordered this for kayaking (long float trips, hard seat), and it works beautifully for this. What I didn't anticipate was how great it also was for the long car ride to the site and for use on breaks along the kayaking route for sitting on rocks, picnic benches, etc. The non-slip bumps on the bottom of the cover help it stay in place on uneven surfaces. Thankfully both the cushion and removable cover seem reasonably durable and are easy to clean after a muddy wet trip. It's well worth it's weight to pack in and take camping/hiking/fishing. All the stars.

It sticks to my kayak seat pretty well but it does not have a loop to use to attach it in case I flip over.

I used this with my sit inside kayak and it is much more comfortable than the seat pad that came with the kayak. The added height and cushion helps with my sciatic back condition. Not sure it repels water the way I would like but it is a step up in comfort from the standard seat cushion.

I had a sciatic I was dealing with and the rower seat was pressing in just the right spot sending pain down my leg. I got this and it made a huge difference. It stayed in place the whole time and I like that the cover is washable. It is bigger than the seat but it didn’t affect my rowing
