20" is a great Greenhouse Fan!!!
I purchased this Iliving 20" Shutter Fan on a Friday evening after a very hot day in my greenhouse, I could not control the heat rise here in Alaska temperatures exceeded 90 deg F in my 12x24 greenhouse. The fan shouwed up on Sunday morning USPS I could not believe that I ordered it Friday night and it arrived Sunday morning. I installed it Sunday afternoon which was very simple if you have any mechanical skills. I wired it into my greenhouse thermostat that controls my heater and my fans. Holy Crap it knows how to move air! I is very quiet for such a large fan, all componets were built very well, shutters worked flawlessly other than I mounted it too tighed in the rough opening and this caused the bottom seal to rub on the flashing I installed, I lowered the flashing and it worked great!. I would recommend this fan to any greenhouse owner that is having rising heat issues. Hopefully it hold up over time but the price $169 was hard to beat for a 20" shutter fan. Definitely Worth the $$! POWERFUL & Pretty Quiet.
The media could not be loaded. First of all, we were looking to get this exhaust fan at Home Depot and Lowes and it would have taken a week to ship to our home or a store. We had contractors at our home doing the garage repair and install for only 2 days. Amazon Prime got this here on the first day of the install after I ordered it the day before. Amazon Prime for the WIN!! Our contractors did the install, so I can't really tell you about how easy it was. It is a powerful and farely quiet fan. My husband loves it! When on, you can feel the air moving through the entire room. It's definitely worth the money. Hopefully this will help with the summer heat in the garage.

Great Exhaust Fan for my small barn! Really moves the air!
This is a great variable speed exhaust fan. I installed it in my small barn. Fan works well. Shutters work well. I would recommend buying it with the wireless variable speed remote kit that comes with everything you need to hook up the fan. Otherwise, you will need to direct wire it or install a plug to make it run. The kit is really a good deal and you get the variable speed this way.

Works well but loud
I have this installed on a ceiling in an updraft orientation. It's runs 24/7 for the past 9 months or so with no hiccups. It's loud, really loud. I have an inline fan controller which works well to dial down the speed and noise but the problem comes down to balance. If I turn this fan down less than 80% it will vibrate horribly as if it's going to shake itself apart. So when buying this, expect it to run at full speed only otherwise buy something else.

Works great for what I needed it for.
I built a 3 car garage and I work on snowmobiles and 4 wheelers plus other motor operated engines inside the garage. 2 cycle motors can get very Smokey. Carbon dioxide can kill you this fan works great clearing out all the smoke and fumes from the garage . I had to build a screen framed in for the inside of fan to keep the bugs from coming into the garage .

A GREAT PRODUCT
I have three of these fans and all have operated flawlessly for 5, 6, and 8 years. I have one in my 1600 sqft shop, one in a sandblasting booth I have in a 20ft container and one in a finishing booth I use for powder coating. The louvers seal nicely and I have not had any issues with rain getting in. (Oregon) Never had one problem with any of them. I'm bought this one to put in my house attic.

Motor gets really hot!
The fan motor gets extremely hot. In fact, it's too hot to touch, probably at least 150°. I can't imagine this motor could last very long running at that hot of a temperature. Because of that, I registered the warranty but it asked for serial number and I can't find that anywhere and it worries me they may not want to honor the warranty If or when the motor burns up. The maintenance section of the manual suggest oiling the bearings according to the instructions but there are no instructions that tell you how to do that. There are small holes on the motor housing for oiling the bearings but they put those on the underside of the fan motor so you can't oil the bearings. Basically, they installed the motor upside down relative to the louvers. The product is made in China and I'm just suspicious of its quality. Upon first powering it on, it made a loud knocking noise and I found one of the fan blades was slightly bent and touching the cage. I was able to bend it and it seems to be working fine now. The fan runs well and moves a lot of wind and is not too noisy. I'm just worried about the motor overheating and I would not recommend this fan because of that.

Great fan!
Previously purchased a different brand fan and was very unhappy with the vibration it produced. So I bought this one and only paid around $60 more. It is quieter and does not vibrate. And it seems to have greater air movement. When I go to close the door of my shop with the fan on, the air rushing in makes it so quite a bit of force is required to get the door to latch. With the other 20” fan, you could feel the air, but it really didn’t push on the door much. The only down-side is with the variable speed switch control; when you start turning it down, the fan really hums loudly.
