KAMADO BONO Green Egg BBQ Grill, 21" I Kamado BBQ Charcoal Grill with Dual Zone Grilling System I Ceramic bbq Smoker for Cooking, Smoking & Baking

I was a little apprehensive buying this Lithuanian version of the Kamado instead of the rather pricy Green Egg (UK) or the more stablished Kamadao Joe (US) ... what do Lithuanians know about bbq and meat smoking anyway? Turns out they know quite a lot! The Kamado Bono is sturdy and very well made and once put together (took about an hour) and in it's cradle, it was ready to rock. I followed the instructions and 'cured' it and then was ready the next day to cook my first 'smoking' low-and-slow rack of rib (following a recipe from the accompanying Kamado Bono glossy barbecue book written by Kristupas Krivickas - included free in the package!)I have to say I've been mightily impressed so far and the whole thing feels like it will last well (especially with it's natty cover which was also included!) It was a bit random to go for the "Zalgiris" version (we fancied a green one and were not too bothered about the endorsement of a Lithuanian basketball team but figured what the hell!) BUT what it is, is exactly the right size for our garden, and the outdoor space it lives in AND it has a decent cooking area to cater for us and a decent amount of guests ... so I'm glad we didn't go any bigger (or smaller!)All in all a highly recommended purchase and good value for money compared to the others on the market!
