Norpro Butter Spreader,White

Not only is this a cute lil gadget it is actually so easy it is not real.Kiddos love it and use it on waffles and pancakes as well as corn on the cob.

You couldn't ask for a better gadget. This is my second one. My first one finally cracked after many, many years of use. This is a bit thinner plastic but works just as good as the original.

I ordered this reasonably priced Norpro butter spreader after breaking my more expensive Pampered Chef corn cob butterer. See picture for comparison. Both spreaders work very well for applying butter to corn on the cob. It does get a bit messy, however, with small pieces of corn and silk sticking to the butter and holder, so I wipe the top off with a paper towel following usage. Despite that, I would definitely recommend this Norpro butter spreader for use with corn on the cob.Note: While this may be obvious to most people, it wasn’t obvious to me... The plastic portion that sticks up on the bottom piece is for your fingers to grip. I had been using my Pampered Chef spreader incorrectly with that little part facing up because I thought it was to hold the butter in place.

I misplaced my first corn buttering tool and was delighted to find it on Amazon. It works like a dream and there is no mess. A great tool for summer time events and every day.

This plastic butter dispenser is made of very light weight plastic, but you don't need much strength for this job so it is okay. The plunger part is kept in place by its ability to adhere to the butter. My wife does not thing it applies enough butter, but if you go over it a couple of times it will do the trick. It is much easier to use on hot corn than a knife and is less messy and wastes less butter. There may be better ones out there to buy, but this works good enough.

Somehow it took me 14 years after being on my own to finally get tired of using a butter knife. This makes buttering corn and bread soo much easier. I do not have any complaints with this one. Great price and great value.

This purchase replaced a previous product that I had for over 20 years. The top eventually developed a crack and wouldn’t stay in, so I bought a new one. but that was after years and years of use. The top is simply to cover the container when it’s in the fridge. Love this for buttering corn.

This is a great concept and works well, but the instructions on the cardboard are incorrect - it does not hold a full stick of butter (8 Tablespoons). Obviously you figure that out right away after the first try, but would have liked the heads up since I ended up with a buttery mess. Also, maybe the shape of Trader Joe’s butter sticks (shorter and wider) would fit better. It’s best if the butter is at room temperature so you can jam it in the spreader.
