Redeeming customer service...
UPDATE: Customer service saw this review almost immediately reached out to replace the item. The response received was thoughtful and curated to my experience. I sincerely hope they consider greener alternatives in regards to parts vs replacing a otherwise functional unit in the future. That said, 10/10 customer service on my end.I got slightly less than two years out of this product. I noticed the cat treats (Blue - Bursts) started jamming more than usual (every 1-2 days) for about 4 months. For the life of the dispenser it typically jammed about once a week. And yes, I read the directions and had an appropriate treat size and slot. To be frank In don't think this is designed for smaller cat treats and the jamming is why it eventually failed.Eventually I saw that the gear that spins had cracked and fell apart in several pieces. So completely unusable. I contacted support (VERY quick response) and was told after a year they can't send a free replacement. They also couldn't just replace the one part on an otherwise perfectly fine product. They did offer me a full replacement at a discounted price but what's to say it doesn't happen again. Also, the jamming even when new was annoying. I would have gladly paid to be green and just replace the gear to get another couple years out of it. Disappointing but on par with the price point.

Works as Expected
Works great and I can silence the sound which was a big factor that won me over! It connects fast and it’s fun seeing my dog eat the treats!

Petcube & Petcube Bites 2 Lite, Some Hacks & Recommendations........ See Photos~
We have 2 different petcube cameras (product models linked below) and they've mostly worked well for us, after a year plus. We do not pay for a monthly subscription and just use them for live streaming and treats. I'm sharing some of our small gripes here, as most of the better qualities have already been shared so well (thank you!)...Unfortunately, the night vision makes it so we can't see the treat giving one at night. They are on opposite sides of a room and during the day, we can shoot treats and then switch to the other camera, to see if they've eaten them or if nothing came out, etc. At night, the night vision makes it so the camera looks like a bright light spot and we can't see what's going on there (see pics).I emailed Petcube to see if they might have a hack for this and will update my review if I learn of one. We've tried electrical tape over different lights/ sensors but nothing has worked for us yet. Please share if you have any thoughts on this? The bites model has a treat toss and initially our cats were frightened of it but soon they grew to love it. Smile. Even at the lowest setting, it shoots all the way across the room, to where their litter boxes are (small room). I hacked it to make them (mostly) land on the trays underneath. I think an accessory add on available for cat owners would be a good seller or a shorter toss option.Uploading photos of both of the issues above. The Seahawks duct tape was what was quickest available when getting ready for a vacation, haha!Another recommended improvement would be the zoom. If their food dish is at the bottom right of the picture and we need to zoom in to see if it's empty, we have to zoom at least x7 times, scroll so many times... Was such a hassle and time waster that we moved the food and the cameras around, to make their food dish on the left side of the screen, lol.Lastly, the magnetic disk adhesive eventually didn't hold anymore, fell off the wall more than once. We ended up using a couple screws above and one centered below (the smaller camera) to make it stay up. A better mounting solution would be good; the treat one hasn't fallen once and is very secure. It does seem to clog somewhat easily if any bits of dehydrated treats are in the mix. Dried kibbles and crunchy treats do well but are not our cats first choices. Smile.Although some of these features frustrate my slightly OCD tendencies and the app does occasionally act up, I'd say we're happy with them both overall. Sometimes it takes multiple times opening and closing the app before it connects but usually works within seconds or a few minutes.Recommended. Excellent Customer Service
I want to give a shout out to the customer service team for Pet Cube. My Bites 2 Lite motor stopped flinging treats literally a year to the day that I ordered my original Pet Cube. With a one-year limited warranty, I immediately contacted the company. All customer service reps were very responsive and helpful and understood my concerns. My issue was resolved in less than 48 hours, and once I put my broken Pet Cube in the mail (on a Friday morning) my replacement Pet Cube was shipped and I received it by Monday morning. Amazing! I so appreciate the attention to detail and service I got from Pet Cube because staying in touch with my fur babies while I'm away from home is so very important to me.
