Do you need a gimble for this to function or can I install this on my Canon t7i and still use a normal Tripod?

It works through the gimbal. It has no external controls on its body. It's controlled through apps when connected to the gimbal, it can be controlled directly through the gimbal or the various remote controller devices made by Zhiyun that work with their gimbals.

Hi is compatible with weebill 3s?

Yes it is. But I returned mine as it was very unreliable and wouldn't stay in place, kept sliding. This meant I had to stop and readjust it every few mins. I gave up on it after an hour of shooting a wedding.

How smooth is very low rpm movement? For my application I need very slow and smooth zoom and the movement can't be jerky

It’s smooth through your. There are two options of Zoom or Focus. Also there are speed adjustments low or high. Depending on how fast or slow you turn the wheel on the kimball fast or slow, but it is smooth.

Works great

The engine does the job and works great with the wheebill 2. The only thing I would like to be different for the design is the straps that go around the focus. But they still work well. I'm pleased.
