National Geographic Photo Ark Wonders: Celebrating Diversity in the Animal Kingdom (The Photo Ark)

Let me start by saying that I'm biased in my review. When I bought all of Joel's books, I was looking for something in particular: animal expressions that tell stories.on NG TV, the shots I saw were amazing in terms of animal expressions and I was looking to see the same in-print. Alas, I did not, hence my 3-star review.I think the editors weren't lucky in choosing which pictures to publish. Technically, the shots are great but overall, and apart from some very exceptional shots, this book and others, are also-rans.

Wonderful photography and unique characteristics emphasized. My 2, 3, and 6yo all enjoy it.. But I'll often find my 6yo gazing through it in the mornings before breakfast (even a month after receiving it now).

Amazing photography! 15 yr old granddaughter shared with sister and cousins. Real appreciation for animals and photography. For all ages!

This is my third Photo Ark book. Joel Satore is one of THE best photographers in the world. You would be surprised how many creatures are endangered on this planet! Raise your awareness and buy this book!

Loved the tv show and now this very well printed photo book. Getting the other 2 books in the series. You can spend hours looking at the animals.

This book is for the animal lover who what to learn new and fascinating species or just to see incredible photography. Joel is on a 25-year assignment with Nat Geo to photograph approximately 25,000 species in captivity all over the world. Some species only remain in captivity because habitat has been destroyed so their documentation is priceless!

Joel S has done an amazing job capturing and sharing all the animals. The book is stunning and is giving us all hours of joy acquainting ourselves with the creatures of our planet. Thank you, Joel.
