I used it on my Ford Fusion and it worked amazing. I was still scared it would come off so I didn’t go over 75mph but it didn’t move an inch and didn’t get wet at all in the rain. It folds back into the bag well, it’s very secure and as long as you tie the loose ends down and put on some music you can’t hear it. Very much worth the money. The straps are very thick too. Couldn’t get the lock to work but I think that was just a me problem. It does take longer than you’d think to set it up by yourself though. I do wish the instructions were a little more detailed though. Or maybe have one longer version of the instructions and keep the current one too. I think it’s between 3 and 6 steps currently I can’t remember off the top of my head. It also worked just fine when I didn’t fill it quite all the way. And it worked fine when I filled it to the brim on the way back too.

Great container. We discovered that all our trip items would not fit in our Honda Pilot and bought this container to solve the problem. After a 2-week, 4,100 mile cross country trip through several snow storm blizzards, torrential rains, high winds, 80-90 mph roads, and some sunshine all contents remained dry and stable. We had no problems at all. No roof rack on our car so we anchored the contained to our rear door jam with the included straps. Bugs wiped off at the end with just a wet rag. The hardest part was fitting it back into the included storage bag (finally made it). Loved the included pad to protect the roof paint. I recommend this carrier when in need of the occasional extra space. Price is right, folds up and stores easily in a small space. Our first and only use was great.

Updated Review:The manufacturer provides an extended warranty and worked with us to make it right. While I am not happy that this bag collected water, I will say that the customer service is top notch. I have changed my review from 1 star to 4 because of the customer service and the fact they stand by their product so well. The bag itself seems nice and is a thick material that I think would hold items well on top of your car. It just is not waterproof. If I were to use it again I would try some kind of bin that goes in the bag or keeping my coolers or other types of items that take up space but don't really need to be waterproof. I will say that we had no issues with the straps and the bag made no noise at all on our trip which surprised us how quiet it was. Unfortunately we need the bag for our luggage which cant get wet since its cloth so for us it really is not usable for our needs but I am hoping this review can help someone else.Previous Review:Unfortunately I'm outside of the return window for this because I bought this with ample time for our vacation this summer, only to find out on our first day using it that it leaks. Not just a little bit, but our stroller was soaked. We put the stroller in a trash bag but it's longer than the bag so we gave the open end towards the back of the car thinking if water got in, it would at least run back and past the stroller. This this just filled up like a kiddie pool. We did everything right per the I instructions and made sure the zipper was covered. The bag was locked. We drove through the train for about 40 minutes and our very expensive stroller was totally soaked. Luckily we brought a spare umbrella stroller which we used for most of the trip. On the way back we had to cram the car full since we could not use this bag. I'm extremely disappointed and would have loved for this to work but to add insult to injury we are just outside the return window so it's $100 wasted.

I paid for this item and my review is my own without any influence.Now that that’s out of the way, if you are considering a soft rooftop storage solution and don’t want to commit to a hardtop, let this be the review you need! I took a vacation with my best friend and her 2 kids ages 7 & 9 and toddler age 1.5. The trip was about 15-17 hours each way due to distance and having to stop for multiple breaks for the kids…and if you have ever traveled with kids you know they want to bring all their favorite snacks, food, drinks, toys, blankies, iPads, gadgets, and well even room in a 7-8 person vehicle is still limited when you leave home for anything longer than 3-4 days with more than 4 people and we left for 12 days.I initially considered buying for a trip I have in late September, since I’m offering to be the carpool driver in my 7 person SUV and thought this trip would be a great test run for both quality and durability, as well as ease of use.I give this 5 stars hands down. It was a great purchase! I researched several brands, read countless reviews, examined the quality to the best of my ability and landed on this one. It was this or RoofPax and this one I do believe is far superior.Well packaged and easy to follow directions, I was able to get it setup and ready to go in 10 -15 mins the first time and then 5-10 mins the second time. It comes with a slip grip pad (same as the foam style anti-slip rug pad but with better grip) to put between your rooftop and bag. Great to keep from scratching the top and extra grip protection so it doesn’t slide around while in motion.It has several points of attachment with sturdy clips and additional attachment to accommodate vehicles without roof crossbars.The material is a nice heavy duty vinyl with a solid waterproof zipper that comes with “suitcase lock” setup for protection and a large overhang on the 3 sides with heavy duty velcro to cover and act as additional waterproofing for the zipper so nothing gets wets.As you can see from the photos, this SUV had crossbars but not side rails. It is setup to be used for side rails as best option due to the way the straps are attached to the bag. That said, I just turned it 90 degrees and decided that was how it was gonna have to be lol. Too late to worry and it was time to go!It worked flawlessly!! I purchased the 20 cubic feet and yeah… SO MUCH ROOM. Here’s the items I crammed into it only to realize I still had room for more:2 medium 25-27 in luggage suitcases (these are one size down from the largest)2 kids duffel bags3 pillows (king size)2 kids life vests1 toddler life vest suit1 toddler water inflatableA box of diapersA large telescopeA couple blankets2 carry bags of clothes from shopping on vacationAnd a few more small things that tucked in.Let me say we left with more than we started with and 90% was packed into this storage space and there was still room! Truly shocked by everything that fit in here! Seriously it’s worth the buy!Quality and durability is 5 stars as wellWe drove about 7 hours or so on the way back in several rainstorms of different intensities and intervals and nothing was wet when we arrived home. This is truly waterproof no matter what direction you have it, though it does have an intended directional for use. The straps are solid and didn’t stretch very much and I always checked them anyway time we stopped because I was paranoid about it not withstanding the wind speed and vibrations of driving but it didn’t flinch or break. On the way home I was able to not worry at all. I had complete faith in it!I’m a 34 year old single lady and I figured this out on the fly… literally unboxed in the driveway 30 mins before leaving and packed it myself while my friend wrangled the kids and last minute potty breaks. Having a friend or partner to help load and unload definitely helps but not required! Additionally, I saw the other brand I mentioned on several rooftops and mine not only looked way better, but those didn’t seem to be near as quality as this one and I’m glad I went with this brand!

Got this for a road trip, because our vehicle does not have a roof rack, this fit perfectly over our suv. We secured it down with straps, drove from Texas to Orlando Florida and back again. It held up very well and kept our luggage dry even during a rain storm. Had plenty of space for all our stuff and easy to store away when done. Highly recommend this product.
