It takes you straight through the periodic table with a short explanation of how it was discovered and how it impacts daily life. A lot of details, including atomic numbers and structures of Atoms are also available. Wonderful resource if you are doing a Chemistry curriculum with an upper elementary student.

Surprisingly enjoyable and educational
Daughter (11) requested chemistry books, so decided to give this one a try. Despite what appeared to be dry reference material, she enjoyed it and learned a lot, reading some sections more than once and being more enthusiastic about chemistry.
