This is a lovely slate coaster.It's a nice size,so my big coffee mug sits comfortably on there.It has 4 soft,non slide,corner pieces underneath which seem to be stuck on quite sufficiently and stop any scratching of my table top.The engraving is really nice,though it's not actually deep in the slate,so I should imagine over time it will definitely wear down.But,for the price and length of time it will last me,I think it's a great gift and a totally unique,sentimental,beautiful coaster.I highly recommend it,I love mine it's great.Thanks !!!

I love how sturdy it is and my dad really loved it, my only complaint is that the letters are slightly faint so it is hard to see what exactly is written on it from slightly far away, but other than that great product!
