Worx GT Revolution 20V 12" String Trimmer Grass Trimmer/Edger/Mini-Mower, WG170.9

I love this product. It does what is says it does. I’m gong to purchase the blower for the same batteries. I am a shortish woman. 5’5”. Since being cheated on and coming home to another woman in my house after only working half shift. I lost all the tools to keep my yard looking ok. think this is it. A bit too tall for someone my height and I’m not that short! I love the lawn mower ability. I live in rockies Colorado and only have weeds. A lawn will never grow nice here even with constant and regular maintenance. I don’t know how much to take care of gas powered tools. This is easy to start. No oil and gas. I feel good after getting job done. However I am semi-short and I am working on getting a strap to alleviate pains in my arms after hours of use. Good price, versatile. Great battery life.

Been very hesitant to purchase a battery powered string trimmer (weed eater).Did some research online and the Worx had a fairly high rating.Neighbor has a Ryobi , another has a Dewalt. I have numerous Dewalt tools and having the same battery was making me lean towards Dewalt.Didn't care for either so for a little over $100 why not , if I dont like it , Amazon is VERY good on returns.Well it arrived in a few days , batteries(came with 2 as described) and they were fully charged!!Went together really easy and I headed out to try it.I have just over an acre but really , how much do you really need to trim?Just for fun because it was new , I went around the full house and played around with some other areas that usually just get push mowed. Ran it honestly for about 45 minutes(not continuous) and I still had 2 bars left on the battery.Easy to feed extra cord when needed and talk about being lightweight this is it.It is single cord but didn't seem to have any issues at all.Seen a video review stating the handle seemed to wiggle , it does if you just move it around but doesn't when being used.Haven't tried the edger yet but is a neat concept and pretty sure it works as described. I keep the wheels off until I use the edger.Definitely would recommend.

I think it’s important to break down this purchase into a number of categories.Category 1 ChargingFor me the most important part is whether or not can this trimmer finish the job using the batteries provided?I was able to get through my backyard and most of my front yard on one battery being that this item comes with two batteries I was able to finish the job having them both charged before I started the task.Category 2 The BuildI would say it is pretty durable, I was able to make the necessary adjustments with the joints that move in multiple directions. I found that to be helpful while I was actually doing the cutting.Category 3 FunctionalityI found, although this is a battery trimmer. I was able to make it through some pretty thick weeds that have grown along the side of my house. It had enough power to wack em. So I would say it definitely is up for the job.But I found to be the most advantageous for this purchase was the LINE feed feature one of the things that drives me the most crazy is when I have to bump or pull the string when it breaks in this case I do not need to do that all I needed to do was push the button and the line grew.I did use the wheels provided to make it an edger which also worked really well!All in all if you are looking for a low priced trimmer to get through the backyard this one works

Why did you pick this product vs others?:It came complete, is easy to use and does not have a self feeding feature which is very nice. We got it to use for light to moderate grass and weed removal and it seems to do fine. It is light weight which is great for my wife to use as she has some arthritis in her hands. She really likes the adjust ability of the handles and head angel. Battery life could be longer (averages about 25 minutes) and they take several hours to recharge but still a versatile light weight unit that does what we were needing.

6 years back I bot a very strong, corded trimmer. I got so tired of hauling 200 foot of extension cord around my triple size yard that I quit trimming altogether. I just received my WORX battery powered trimmer. I got the WG170. A) This is a powerful trimmer. B) The line feed - on demand, no auto crap - is a wonder in itself. All you do is push a button, and the line feeds out. Done. No tangling, no binding - just easy, smooth feeds. Every time. C) this trimmer is light weight. My old, very heavy trimmer hurt my back after 15 minutes of use. This 170, is ergonomically made so you can use either hand, the head is completely adjustable for any condition. D) The wheels: i thot it was gimmicky. NOT SO! Life saver. Under the trampoline - easy. Under bushes - zero stress. Use the wheels on the grass in the sidewalk - GONE. No chemicals. I get 45 to 60 minutes on the batteries. First time. E) You carry an extra line head ON THE HANDLE! And the cutting head is so small - fantastic! JUST BUY this WG170 model. I would give it 10 stars !!

I needed a much lighter battery operated weed eater. This little guy is just perfect, and a doggone workhorse! Myweeds were tall and prolific after a very wet Spring. My previous weedeater.was just too big and heavy for me tomanage for very long. I couldn't get much accomplished. But as a relatively short, elderly woman, this one is a true godsend. I absolutely love it. The.only drawback is that after about 25 minutes of heavy chopping, I have to recharge the battery. That's a good thing for me, as I always need the break.by then. It also recharges quickly. Oneof my best buys ever!
