These are really nice towels and yes, as new towels, they will have lint as all towels do. To me, it's certainly not an extraordinary amount of lint, but what I do is when I do the first wash, before I even put them in the dryer, I shake them out outside. That gets rid of some of the larger pieces of lint. Then after I dry them the first time, I use a lint roller to eliminate some of the lint pills. Then I wash and dry them at least 3 more times before I use them. I still take them outside and shake them out after they come out of the dryer just to keep getting rid of lint. I do this with all towels no matter what brand or where I bought them. I bought the dark gray ones as well as the aqua ones and I had no issue with discoloring at all. In all honesty, pictures of the towels with discoloring here on reviews really looks like bleach or something (or fake reviews). I also had no issue with them falling apart. I bought a different size of this same brand of towels back in 2017 and I'm still using them and they are holding up well. I have no complaints at all and I did get lucky when I went to buy them that they had a lightening deal on the price, but I would definitely buy them again even at full price. The other thing is, I am very picky about laundry and I would never in a million years wash new towels with anything else, so I feel bad for the person that washed dark blue towels with whites. I'm just not sure why you would do that ever. I wouldn't do that after years of having dark towels--towels are ALWAYS washed by themselves--ALWAYS! People who wash darks and whites together just don't know how to do laundry and doing that makes your clothes look bad. Don't do that!

I am going to use these in the car after the kids soccer practice to keep the leather seats clean. They are could enough to be brought into the house to use for showers too. Good size, rather soft.

Needed to replace brand new (never used, tags still on) towels mysteriously disappeared from storage room. Looking for 100% cotton rung spun towels. Color looked good, size perfect, lightweight, 4 pk perfect, value at $33.99.Decided on Utopia, almost perfect. Color beige in pic looked honey amber, not close. Super light beige, pale. Deducted one star for color. All four perfect. Tags on towels mention 100% cotton, no mention rung spun.Only washed two in case of huge amount of lint. Washed in cold water (for no shrinkage) rinsed twice no fabric softener. Impressed not a lot of lint. I never use dryer. Shook towels before line drying outdoors hung over two lines for air flow. After dry gave a good shake. Used soft lint brush to remove lint. Not soft but not rough. Two or three washes any lint should be gone completely and should soften up.Would buy again just want to see how they hold up. Will update if if they don't hold up.Pic's second pair washed exactly as the first pair. Did give a good shake before washing, after washing (still wet) and after line drying outdoors. Tried to get pic of lint, not a lot. Used soft lint roller.

The towels are of heavy weight and very absorbent I also purchased the washcloths and very pleased with them both I plan on buying more in a different color

These towels are a classic case of "you get what you pay for." They're okay, but that's about the highest praise I can give them. If you're looking for something basic and functional without breaking the bank, these might fit the bill. However, don't expect to be wowed.My main gripe is their thinness. They feel a bit flimsy, almost like a step up from a paper towel. While they do absorb water, it takes a few more passes than I'd like to get completely dry, and they just don't have that luxurious, plush feel that truly great towels offer. If you're used to thick, fluffy towels that wrap you in comfort, these will be a noticeable downgrade. They also tend to wrinkle quite a bit after washing and drying, so if a crisp, neat look is important to you, be prepared to do some folding right out of the dryer.On the flip side, the price is decent. For what they are, they're not outrageously expensive, and if you need a large quantity of towels for a guest bathroom, a rental property, or just for everyday use where durability and absorbency aren't top priorities, they're a reasonable option. They've held up to a few washes without any major fraying or falling apart, so that's a plus.Ultimately, these towels are just passable. They'll get the job done, but they won't elevate your bathroom experience. If you're on a tight budget and need something to dry off with, go for it. But if you're dreaming of wrapping yourself in a cloud of softness after a shower, you'll need to invest in something a little more substantial.
