This tripod IMHO is a step up from the Amazon Basics (and the like ) standard tripods. The build feels better/sturdier and I like the microphone stand type vertical extension as opposed to the crank style.The ball joint adjustment head is a very welcomed feature as opposed to the 3 individual axes of traditional tripods. The ball joint clamp engages and disengages quickly which makes quick work of adjustments.The 360 degree rotation is dampened which would make for smooth motion when manually rotating but would also limit quick movements.The only feature I wished was different about this tripod is the quick release plate. A lot of tripods that I have seen make use of a latch that takes a quarter turn to clamp or release the camera where as this tripod uses a bench vise like movement where it takes several turns of the clamping knob to clamp down or release the camera.As an armature photographer, this unit serves it purpose well.

I have had this tripod for a year and a half, I've had it in the ocean, in streams, sand, I've thrown it over 10ft while hiking, I've used it as to catch myself from falling as I'm creek walking. The ball head could use changing but buying it just for the legs it's an incredibly reliable, durable tripod. I'm often taking 30 second exposures with heavy cameras while standing in water and it never let's me down. If and when it breaks I'll be buying another it's that great

This was purchased during Amazon's July Prime sale so I got it for about $15 less than it normally sells for. But, even at normal pricing, this is an excellent value. It's highly functional, decent quality and should withstand normal use with a camera and lens weighing under 10 pounds. Pretty stable for a lightweight tripod and the included bullhead is very good, too. Really, for an under $75 tripod this is a great purchase. Highly recommended for beginners or photographers who need a good quality tripod for occasional use.

I absolutely love this tri-pod, my favorite so far i bring it everywhere even when it doesnt fit the shoot that im going to, mainly because of how compact & lightweight it is so its easy to take anywhere for any situation. Awesome price, awesome versatility. 10/10 would buy again.

This tripod works great for my purpose. The ball head makes adjustment super quick and easy. The metal frame is sturdy and add a bit weight and quality feel to the tripod. For the money, I'd recommend this product.
