Powermatic 2 Electric Cigarette Injector Machine

I rarely take the time to write reviews on the things I buy, and this one already has glowing reviews so its not really even necessary for me to do it I'd imagine, but I am so happy with this thing I'm gonna do it anyway! I just received my powermatic 2+ in the mail today. I am an amazon prime member and it came lightning fast, packed well and its pretty epic. I pack 100s with this, and although I cant complain about the first 10 or so I packed, they were all quite smoke-able, it did take about 10 cigarettes to get the knack for doing the 100s size. There is no separate setting or switch or anything to go from kings to 100's, and its just a but different in how you load the tobacco, and it only takes a minute to get the rhythm. for it. Its a no-brainer to inject Kings, but the 100's you just tuck the 2 ends first and sorta slide into what amounts to a small pocket that's inside and adjacent to the fill slot to make sure that the slot is completely full. I sorta wish they just had some way to widen the slot when rolling 100's so that this little extra maneuver was not necessary, but its so easy once you know that its no big deal at all, and in the long run probably makes the machine that much more durable not having some adjustable chute cover in place that could break.or something. This thing is built like a little tank, and the footprint is mush smaller than I expected which was nice. I wish the 'hopper' was a bit bigger, but I can stuff a good 12-15 100's off the pile I throw up there and I will probably do what I have seen others to and create some kind of makeshift hopper. If you have not yet started rolling your own, you are really missing out and throwing away alot of money! This machine will pay for itself in the first 2 weeks! I have been having so much fun with this today that I've sat here and rolled a whole carton in the past hour or so just tinkering. Its fun, and feels great to be saving a small fortune. I've only been doing MYO for about a week now using a top hand stuffer that I bought first to make sure I liked it, and I already seem to notice that I breathe better! I love to smoke, but I'll never go back to chemical laden store boughts again!1 MONTH UPDATE:Its been about a month of using this and still pleased as punch. I've rolled about 5-6 cartons as I smoke about a carton a week and this thing shows no sign of slowing down, but I am now so hooked I plan to buy another one just as a "backup" machine "just in case" because the idea of buying commercial cigarettes now is unimaginable! I far prefer the MYO and I am able to breathe better than I have in years just from getting rid of the chemicals from commercial cigarettes. Been having fun buying various varieties of tobacco and creating my own "blends" and my next plan is to take this newfound hobby to the next level and start buying whole tobacco leaf and a shredder and making my own blends from the raw tobacco leaves and then (obviously) using this to stuff my tubes. I did notice if the tobacco is too try and crumbly (I bought a bag 1 bag that was old I guess) it has a tendency to jam. Added a slightly damp paper towel to the bag of tobacco overnight and that fixed it right up.

I'm brand new to the world of RYO. I'm a mechanical guy by trade so I scrutinize any machine I work with and especially one I'm going to buy. Let me tell you this machine is freaking awesome! If I could give it 6 stars I would. Heck, if I could give it 10 stars, done. I'm not usually big on writing reviews, but I had to give my opinion on this machine.I did all my homework on RYO machines. Everything from the cheapest hand machine to all the electric ones I could find. I've read hundreds of reviews and watched a couple dozen videos. This machine is #1 on the list of the top 10 RYO machines out there and I see why. There are many videos out there on YouTube and elsewhere that show the operation of many of these machines, both hand-operated and electric. One video is impressive showing a man rolling a pack of smokes in 3 minutes with this machine. This machine has a jam indicator and will light up if you do jam it and the injector rod will automatically retract allowing you to make the adjustment in your packing chamber without any harm to the machine. It doesn't get better than that.I remember as a kid helping my Dad roll his own with a Laredo hand machine. Remember those? It was not a bad machine, but labor intensive to use. The key point for me with a hand-machine is that it takes two hands to operate and I saw a guy who over-packed and when he went to activate the lever he just about knocked the machine off the table and he had two hands on it!Lets talk about the cost. I don't have a problem with it. It's about 4-5 times the cost of the hand-rollers. It's worth it! If you average the cost of this machine over say 10 cartons, it will cost about 3.5 cents per cigarette. And the more you roll with it the cheaper the average will get. When it comes to my time and how long I would like to spend rolling my own, this machine is an exceptional value compared to the rest!It only took me a few cigarettes to get the hang of it and I'll tell you that I don't believe it could be any easier.The product is quality built and actually will operate at 100-240 volts if you need it to as marked on the unit itself.I can say that I'm sorry I didn't start RYO decades ago. I purchased enough supplies to roll 900 smokes to start until I find what I like based on taste. Based on all my cost to date, this machine, tobacco, filter tubes, multiple cigarette cases, rolling tray and a couple storage containers for rolled cigarettes, I'm all in at half the price per pack that I used to spend and it will only get cheaper. If you already know what you like then this machine can make your life much easier, less time rolling and more time enjoying your smokes!Back for an update. I've learned that a pack too tight can really affect the draw you get, especially if you're using a tube with a perforated filter! Hence the reason maybe that the Powermatic III+ is popular. It does almost everything for you with the push of a button. The down side for me is that cost even though now they are at the lowest price I've seen, under $250. I'm sticking with this, my current machine, and will adjust the packing for a better draw and a better burn. Happy rolling!
