Night-Night London Board book – Illustrated, 1 Sept. 2016

Our 3 year old loves this book. We have to read it to him every night so he can go to sleep. The story is easy to read and the illustrations are very sweet. Would definitely recommend this book for little ones.

This book is a terrific, simple poem for young children. It takes you on a 10 page tour of London. We bought this book to go alongside our 'Night Night Sydney' book which the kids absolutely adore (they have relatives there). We were utterly dismayed to find the wording almost identical (replacing 'Sydney' with 'London' in the poems) and of the 10 double page picture spreads, 6 were identical to the Sydney book - Centennial Park and Hyde Park are identical, Taronga Zoo and London Zoo are identical, the shops are identical, the Museum are identical, etc, etc. So, whatever you do, DONT buy this book as part of a city series. Buy it standalone. Our kids are going to be pretty disappointed when they read this one and we considered sending it back, and would have if our Sydney one wasn't so battered from use.

We loved the other book in this series Night Night Washington which was purchased on a trip to the USA. It has become a bedtime favorite so I was excited when I found the Night Night London book online and promptly ordered it. Was very disappointed that the author has literally zero imagination and 90% of the book text is exactly the same as the Washington version, with a couple mentions of London landmarks. The illustrations are also duplicated on most of the book. Thought it would be a great way to show kids different cities around the world but will not bother purchasing other books in the series.

Cute book, hits all the landmarks. Perfect present for our friend from Holland whose baby was born here but will be moving back home.

This is a great book! I highly recommend it. The pictures are wonderful!

I bought two copies of this book, and I was somewhat disappointed that there were very few KC-specific images throughout; 8 of the 18 pages had, for me, clearly identifiable KC landmarks. I liked the book(s) enough to keep, but I would not have purchased them had I had a chance to completely peruse the books beforehand.

Overall, good book.
