Amazing crystal ball, I bought a large one as I want to use it for meditation. It is very clear and no visible faults. The one downside is the teeny weeny little rest for it, very unsafe and risky. If you buy this, I recommend you immediately go out and buy a really good stand for it. Don't forget, do not leave this anywhere in sunlight or keep it covered (it magnifies the suns rays and could start a fire)!

How is such a perfect sphere of glass made ? It really is a thing of beauty and no sign of a scratch or internal bubbles or other flaws. It took me a while to work out that the beautiful stripes of light I saw were reflections of my venetion blinds. I can't fault the little glass stand that comes included, it obviously matches the curve of the sphere exactly.

Gosh! It's huge! For once I didn't argue with her as we gazed upon it enormous wonderfulnessness. Before I start, don't read this as criticism... I am as pleased as punch with this huge, 130mm, glass ball. Naturally I had ordered the biggest I could find for the least money for the size and, to be honest, maybe I should've gone for the 100mm or 80mm, rather than this 130mm beast, purely because its too big to carry on a photography jaunt really. It weighs almost 6 1/2 Britishness pounds, or almost 3kg foreign blasphemous. Actually, no, it's just what I wanted, but I'm just surprised at how large and heavy it is in reality, that's all. Might also get a 60 or 80mm ball for carrying, ahem, 'on location'. Looks to be perfect with no scratches or bubbles etc in the glass. Tiny stand too included on which it sits nicely, but I wouldn't trust it as an ornamental stand unless you're VERY sure it's not going to get knocked and dropped onto a hard surface. One thing... Seriously... Heed the warning often given in ads for these balls about not leaving them in the sun. I carried it outside and immediately felt considerable heat in the palm of my hand. Blimey! They weren't exaggerating! Put it on a scabby plastic garden chair and it started to warm up the plastic. Much excited, I put a stick behind the ball where the sun was more finely focused. Smoke and burning inside a minute. The Boy in me was impressed and further experimentation was indulged in. See the photos if I can successfully upload them. Very well packaged in polystyrene inside its box and inside an Amazon box. So... Very big and a good bit heavy to hold, carry etc., but will allow great ball lens photos, which is what I bought it for. PLEASE be careful where you keep it though,indoors or outside. It really can easily start a fire.

Item is really good but it’s not travel friendly due to its size and like the smaller versions it should have come in a protected carry case. So a further purchase and minor alterations later and a carry case purchased and altered the 80mm one is more ideal for people venturing out for crystal ball photography experimenting not the larger one use that to predict the future.

The glass ball arrived safely in polystyrene packaging within the box and as far as I can tell is totally optically clear with no bubbles visible. Not had a chance to take it out for a spin in the field yet, only been experimenting with it at home but will definitely give me an artistic option to use when I feel the need or the situation presents itself. The only downside is it doesn't come with it's own storage pouch so you may want to consider getting one or at least wrapping it in a large lens cloth, before putting it in your camera bag...

I bought this to use as a crystal ball in photography. I have a smaller one but wanted to be able to take larger images and this one is great. It comes with a little stand which is sufficient for photography use but if it was used as an ornament it would be nicer to have a larger stand. It came packaged securely and there were no flaws in the glass so I am very pleased with it. The only downside is that, due to its size, it is fairly heavy to carry around and would take up a lot of space in a standard camera bag.

I was wondering whether this would get smashed during transit but the original packaging of the ball itself is encased in polystyrene to stop it smashing... The ball itself is beautifully clear!

I was searching for a good-sized crystal ball (11 mm or above), and although I found this one was a bit more expensive than the others it was worth every penny. Flawlessly manufactured, with no sign of any bubbles, scratches or defects. I bought it for ornamentail purposes, but perhaps if you are using it for photography you may find it too large and heavy for carrying around. Personally I am pleased with the product and cannot fault it.
