Awesome value for very cheap bag: 4-year update
I needed a new computer case for my 12.5-inch HP notebook which fits just perfectly into this briefcase. There are zipper pockets in the compartment where you would normally stow your notebook or tablet, but they have leather pull tabs and will NOT scratch your computer as some buyers have expressed concern here. The only way I can see that happening is if you were to store the bag upside down on its cover flap causing the device to slide out of its pocket and into the base of the zippers. You could place a sheath over the computer or table if you are concerned with this issue. The briefcase is cheap but it's appearance could easily pass for a $500 or higher bag. I needed something affordable that was also presentable to bring into the court room and this bag fit the bill. The leather is "split Italian" and is formed very sturdy so that the bag stands on its own without falling over. There is also a large accessory compartment which stores a couple of pens and maybe thumb drives or SD cards. That same compartment will also easily handle an inch-thick stack of standard file folders with 8.5 x 11-inch documents.A third large middle compartment is fastened with a zipper and that is a good place to stow valuables, and I use it to store the shoulder strap when not in use. An exterior zipper pouch is handy for small documents such as quick access for airline tickets or passport, and has a protective sheath to keep the documents away from the zipper. As I stated above, there are two additional zippered document pockets on the interior. There is a single non-locking brass latch and I like that for ease of opening and not having to deal with combination locking tabs. Some buyers have complained that their brass latch is scratched but I don't see how that is possible as the latch is a perfect interlocking match. At any rate the latch cover is a clear plastic-coated brass material and you could remove the scratches with clear plastic spray. As mentioned above, the outer material is a split leather product which means it has a manufactured texture (I rated it 3 stars), but the leather case is smartly dyed to give it a rich, natural appearance. The leather is cleaned and maintained with the same leather oil you would use with a $1500 or $2000 designer bag.The handle appears to be sturdy and well-designed, so we shall see how that works out. At the price I paid, if I can get 2 to 3 years of use out of this case, I shall be extremely happy, and I don't mind taking it to work--I would definitely have a problem carrying a $500 or $1000 briefcase around for work or travel.UPDATE 4 YEARS LATER: I am still lugging my computer around in this brief case after four years, mostly on to the airplane and many trips into the courthouse. As you can see from the photos, cracks have developed in the leather handle, and a small crack on each side of the case cover where it opens and closes. The main body of the case looks prestine like the day I received it. I do use leather oil a couple times a year to keep it water resistant. The handle is still functional but I am not sure how to replace it. The metal fasteners are encapsulated between the leather layers in the interior (no exterior screws/rivets).

Sexy, sturdy case; an excellent value
Case is exquisitely crafted. Finish of the leather has a gloss that indicates high quality craftsmanship. At no point in the stitching or elsewhere is there any sign of compromise in craftsmanship. I am beyond pleased with this product. To rebuff an earlier review, yes: with a laptop, all pockets full, it feels a tad heavy - but so would a frumpy square briefcase - and without the comfort and style of this product. Metal objects are heavy irregardless. My take: get this one. Super ergonomic, comfortable, stylish, and easy to use. If you’re above a mid-level exec - get yourself a frumpy briefcase/luggage container. If you want something with portability and style, this is your case.

Classy, elegant briefcase
My husband has been using this briefcase since I bought it in 2019… 5 years later, it still looks great! He gets frequent complements, and it works great!

Amazing briefcase for the modern man!
My husband may have already reviewed this bag but just in case he didn’t, let me just say he loves this bag! Simple, yet stylish and he can put all his paperwork in it, his phone tablet etc excellent bag!

Held up for years - bought in May 2018
Very good quality. I've used this daily for 3.5 years and it shows typical wear. Fits Chromebook with no problems.Aside from the exterior zipper pull coming off last month, nothing has broken. No idea how others have torn the handle. I've never used the shoulder strap, so I can't comment on it's comfort or durability. The leather is also high quality and needs little to no maintenance. When I replace mine, I'll likely look to Banuce again.

Will wear off in a matter of weeks
I purchased this bag for my husband for Father’s Day. When it came it looked real good and even when it was presented it looked good but barely 3 months of use and mind you he only takes it to church 3 days a week. Look at the state of this bag. What I now notice is the the part that is worn out looks lighter that the main body of the bag which means probably a less sturdy material was used for the cover which is why it is peeling. Anyway I am beyond disappointed. DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY BUYING THIS.
