22021 Light Cure CA Adhesive System

SureHold 22021 Helios Light Cure works like a charm. In addition to the adhesive bottle the package includes the UV lamp needed for curing and all you need to provide is one AA battery. I needed to bond glass, aluminum and a plastic eye glasses lens, so I put a drop of adhesive on each surface and cured it with the lamp. There was no adhesion and the solid resin popped off. Next I used a fine sand paper and cleaned the aluminum surface of oxide. This time the bond was very strong. The glass also needed some preparation using an abrasive harder than it, so I used a fine 30 micron diamond lapping sheet. Again, the bond was very strong. The resin cures in seconds. Just make sure the surface to be bonded is degreased with rubbing alcohol and roughened with an adequate abrasive. My only complaint is that the instructions did not mention the need for abrasive in certain cases.

Ratings all totally zero. Best way to blow your money on an imported piece of junk from a foreign child labor force. This is not the expected value from Amazon. The UV light seems to make a beam of light. I assume it is UV. However, it couldn't even be tested on the UV curable polymer in the bottle. The total liquid in the dispenser had already been solidified, as found after cutting the polymer dispenser in half. And the adhesive squeeze bottle had been stored in a metalized covered bag as I received it to protect it. I must have gotten a package that was stored for years, or, this product is the biggest piece of crap that has absolutely no shelf life. I will check the Amazon Review Postings after writing this feedback. Bet that this review never gets posted. For a product like this, buy it from your local building supply company. If doing this, squeeze the adhesive dispenser first. If hard, and not squeezable, look at something else. All of these adhesives do not last very long, if you have ever tried to use an old glue dispenser.

After using a couple of super glues for a dental tooth application, I found that these became inadequate after repeated applications. I became aware of this type of glue through an ad on the internet. I looked up this type of adhesive on Amazon and chose this one out of several options available. The great thing about this type is that the glue can be applied to the item and the item can be placed where it needs to go without the worry that the glue will stick to something unintended. The item can be easily placed where needed before activating the adhesive. Shining the UV light on the glue sets the glue in a matter of seconds more securely than the super glues that I used previously and has held the item in place much longer.

When I received my glue. There was a problem with it. I contacted the seller. They sent me a new one. All is good. I would do business with them again.

The only way to use the product is to dip a toothpick in to the bottle. Then apply it to the item you’re repairing. You then end up with a mess. It is described as staying liquid and uv light causing it to harden. Not correct! As soon as it hits air it starts to dry. This is basically super glue at a high price. Furthermore the cap has now hardened in place. Attempts to clean the cap with a rag left me with the rag and my fingers covered in hardened glue. I have thrown the product in the trash. This is one of the most disappointing products I have ever purchased. Don’t buy it !!! It’s a waste of your money and doesn’t work.

I use this product for small repairs and hobby projects. It works very well.The best part of it is the bottle. Even after being opened and used, the glue in the bottle stays wet. Even after multiple months of not being used.The other similar optical glues i tried came in tubes. Their glue tended to dry out very quickly when not in use. And for some of them, the glue actually arrived from Amazon already solid and unusable. That's definitely not the case with this Surehold glue, which came liquid and stayed liquid until used.A few other notes on this glue. This is an optical cyanoacrylate adhesive. It comes out of the bottle as a fairly runny clear liquid. When you shine the UV light on it, it solidifies into clear acrylic plastic. It takes maybe 10 seconds for a full cure.If you need a thicker glue for your project, you can squirt some out onto a piece of plastic or paper, then give it 1 or 2 seconds of UV light. Enough to thicken it up a bit, but not to full cure. Then use a toothpick or other tool to spread it onto your project.Note also that because this glue requires an optical cure it works best were the glue is visible on the outside of your project. If you use this on something where light from outside cannot penetrate the UV light won't be able to instantly cure the glue. It will still cure as it dries out, but that could take many hours.

I bought this one and loved it. The 2nd time I bought it the glue was totally solid. I didn't notice till it was too late to request a refund. So check the bottle when you receive it. Otherwise it's a great product

Great glue! This is a medium thickness UV cure super glue. Holds very well in most cases. You can build the surface up without it running down like most super glues do. Cures with included UV flash light. Only complaint is that there are two on functions on the flash light, on continuous or on flashing strobe. It just takes a couple of clicks of the switch to get it out of the irritating strobe mode to continuous on. Bit of nuisance but all things considered it is a minor inconvenience with strobe mode. I built up the F and J home keys on my keyboard so I can feel them better with my old worn out fingers! Worked super great for that! So glad I thought of it! Now I don't miss the home keys and have to look why I'd been typing gibberish on my screen. I bought a new keyboard and just decided I liked the older one better and I still couldn't feel the F and J keys any better on the new one.
