I loved the hammered look to this cross badge holder. It’s pretty & so far the retractable holder functions great. I was disappointed when it just felt like cheap plastic though. However, I still love it & have received compliments on it. I would recommend this product because it functions well & looks nice.

This was a replacement purchase for a badge reel that I had for years. I'm a teacher and wore it daily, using the reel part to swipe my proxy card to open my building. This one works fine and has held up for a good year now, but I have one complaint. I wear these on my front pocket of my pants/capris/jeans, and this one tends to fall off WAY more than the other one ever did! Like, A LOT. I've had to be extra vigilant, and I've had to retrace my steps MANY TIMES over the last year to find where it fell off. I keep thinking I should buy one of the previous brands that I used, but it's not bad enough that I ever make the choice to spend the money for another one. Hopefully it will stay on well enough to get me through until I am willing to invest in another one. I will buy a different brand even though I prefer the decorative element of this one. I need the functionality and security of the previous brand I had. All that said, this one is pretty, and does function, and the reel part hasn't snapped off, so that part is sturdy.

I'm bummed. I was psyched to find this gorgeous, unique, high-quality retractable badge reel (I didn't even know these kinds of things existed!) and wanted it to work out so badly. Unfortunately, the more than expected weight of it and the short alligator clip together cause it to pull down on the waist of my pants/skirts and fly off on occasion.Great things: The emblem itself is way nicer than I expected. I mean seriously. Real wood?! Detailed silver dragonfly accent? It's legit jewelry! The reel and cord seem strong, like they’d hold up well with daily use. The swiveling of the alligator clip is so genius. And hey, being able to support a women-owned business—sign me up!Sad things: The emblem is too heavy for the clip design. The alligator clip is too short for the weight of the emblem, and the clip is angled enough that it makes the emblem stick out and get caught on things. That combination caused it to fly off a few times. Even without my badge (a plastic card inside a metal and plastic holder), the emblem's weight and clip style leaves my pant/skirt waists out of shape.A proposed solution for BooJeeBeads: put the emblem on a sturdier, low-profile swiveling belt clip (instead of an alligator clip)!

I'm a teacher, so I use this every day multiple times a day, and it's been great so far. However, the pretty teal design piece fell off one day (after less than a month of daily use), so now all that's left is the blank silver piece similar to a warped mirror, which isn't as pretty.

I've had this for a few weeks now, I wanted to try it before writing a review. So far, so good. The rhinestones are very pretty without being too gaudy, sort of a dusky purple/eggplant color, black, and the center one is clear opalescent. All of the stones are very firmly seated: none missing or loose, and after a few weeks, all are still firmly attached. This feels very sturdy, you definitely won't be able to bend it. The clip on the back is a half-length alligator style clip and so far this has not come off of my waistband throughout the day, even when pulling the reel. The reel and cord work fine, no hiccups or catching, it pulls and retracts smoothly. The snap holds my parking card and door fob with plenty of room to spare, you could certainly put several cards on this if you need to.I was actually really surprised at the quality of this, I'll definitely be buying more from Boojeebeads. On that note, the seller was very responsive, sending emails to make sure everything was to my liking. Nice!

Super cute little badge holder. The design seems to be more of the cheap metal-colored plastic/metal versus actual metal, and the part that holds the cord is plastic as well. The clip part is metal, as are the spring (obviously) and post attaching it to the back, but the backing is plastic also. I haven't used the cord part at all yet, I would actually prefer if this didn't have the cord at all. I don't need it and the storage for the cord just creates extra bulk to it that is annoying. Anyway, so I probably won't know at all how the cord part holds up as I don't use that. So far after a day at work I've had very minimal "flippage" of my badge, it seems to stay put alright clipped onto my pants pocket.All in all, my biggest beef with this badge holder is how "fat" it is because of the cord roller.

Old faithful on the left held out for just short of 3 years! Finally, the retraction stopped working. I was so disappointed because I use this clip all day long as a healthcare worker and it is my favorite I’ve ever used! Now, that the original lasted me nearly 3 years is amazing. I was going to order another (which I would have gladly done), but decided to email customer support and ask if they provide replacements. Viola, less than a week later, I have a brand new clip in my hands, Free of charge!!! Awesome customer support, fast shipping, gorgeous product... just buy it!

Cute but cheap reel. I ordered this for my sister who’s a nurse. But I was disappointed upon recieving the actual product. She prefers to use the stand ones provided by the hospital (3$) not happy
