This handle is very nice quality. Sturdy well-made and works perfectly with my Vermont Castings Woodstove. The only thing I would complain about is that the price seems a bit high for what it is but I guess if you want it, you'll pay for it, like I did. If I had found anyone else selling it cheaper I would've purchased elsewhere but it was hard to find this particular item. It comes unassembled but you just have to screw it together. Now I don't burn my hand when I try to open the front door of my wood stove. My old handle went missing. One thing nice about this version of the handle versus the ceramic is that if you drop it accidentally, it would not break easily because it is wood and metal.

Until we had this, we were just using a glove or pot holder to close the stove door. Turns out, with this handle, the door closes much more securely and helped us prevent the stove from getting too hot because it latches the door very securely so no air gets through. The door is easy to open (unlatch) and close (latch) with the leverage it provides. I accidently left it on top of the stove once, and it was unharmed. This is an essential little tool.

This was an exact replacement for the Handel my husband accidentally threw into our wood stove and burned. It was easy to assemble.

Great replacement for our stove doors. I couldn't believe it was that simple, really. We had a company come sweep and order the part, they ordered the wrong one so I took the task on myself and Amazon came through as always. Thanks to the seller for having genuine working parts!!

This part was the only one of three I needed to replace the old handle that broke that actually worked as it should. However, given that it is a simple wooden handle with a cheap screw in it, the only part of it that took casting to do is the part that is closest to the stove, so it costs more than it should, but a lot less than the factory replacement parts do.
