Will it work on a 79 yamaha qt50

I don't know for sure if it will work on a 79 QT50, but I have used this set on many vintage motorcycles including Yamahas from the 70's to the 90's and I haven't found a bike a bike yet that it doesn't work on. I am pretty confident that it will work in your application.

It should work if the scooter flywheel has female threads.

I believe it has a puller for all Magneto on metric bikes it is a complete set

Will this fit a 1978 honda z50 flywheel

I'm not sure. It has some small pullers, so it might. Just be sure that it takes this style of puller
