Alpine Swiss Clark Mens Lightweight Down Alternative Vest Jacket

I just received this before taking a trip into cooler weather. It seems well made with the right amount of padding so it’s not too bulky. I went with Amazon’s recommended size and it’s a great fit.

Really warm, fits perfect, has big pockets, sturdy zipper (they are always the first thing to go on me), and machine washable, a terrific value at $29.99 when it has a retail price of $55.

The vest is well made but the sizes run very large. I normally take a large in men's shirt. After comparing their recommended measurement chart to a vest that fits me perfectly, I ended up ordering a small... and it fits me just fine. Use their chart for ordering.

I have just recently gotten into vests. I have 6 vests; three fleece and three "bubble". This is the most impressive one by far! I have purchased from Columbia, Eddie Bauer, Land's End as my high end vests and the rest have been the next tier down familiarity-wise. I am more than happy with all of them, however, this has been the best vest I have bought. It is the real deal.The vest tend to be for fashion and some times provide warmth. This one is both. It also has elastic around the shoulders and waist and the best part is it will contour perfectly for you! It will trap all warmth in. It won't suffocate or irritate you either! It is more than just a fashionable vest. You could literally take this skiing or hiking in the winter or whatever outdoor activities you may partake in. This vest, while on it's own isn't the warmest, will trap all your body heat in for you. You may not even require a coat if you wear this.I am very impressed. I will definitely be focusing my attention to Alpine Swiss for outdoor apparel in the future!

This is extremely light ant thin if you want to wear it in cold weather, for fall season it is just ok. Also, men and women garments differ in the waay buttons and zippers are placed. This zipper has the moving section on the right, and for men, this section should be placed left, this is a minor issue but it tells me that this is not a men's version as stated.
