Good price!

Pay the extra now
Bought these because I was looking for a cost effective option for our volunteer organization. Instead of cost-effective, the are just CHEAP. Extremely disappointed with quality. Strap is made of very thin plastic. Fasteners on ends of plastic straps will probably pull out or break within a couple uses. Pin that holds clip together is not secured like the more expensive ones -- It is just stuck through with the ends sticking out beyond the clip mechanism and not flattened in order to keep the pins from pulling out.Lesson learned -- you get what you pay for. If I had it to do over, I would pay the extra for the better quality. As it is, now we will probably have to buy again and wind up paying more in the long run.

Bad hinge pins ruin these.
PROS:* Low cost* Thin strip fits through tight badge holes* Snapper is thin but still holds well.CONS:* Metal pin is not flared on both endsI bought a box of these, more than I need, but I thought it would be okay to go cheap. How messed up can these be?Well, the hinge pin is a softer wire than on the normal ones, and only one end is flared. The other is straight, so after a little bit, or a lucky bump, the pin comes out, and the clip comes apart. The pin is too soft to flare by hand with a hammer. It just folds up inside the clip. You'd need a special tool to hold the center and crush the end.Overall, just a big waste.

Strong Straps And Snaps Despite Cheap Manufacturing
These are economical name badge clips, and I paid for that. They have several cheaply-made features, including too-long hinge pins sticking out the other side of the clip (would need to be cut or sawn off), rough edges on the 2 surfaces that clip onto the clothes, and crooked alignment of the entire clip on many of them. The metal connections are a little crudely assembled and not as finished as they could be. On the plus side, the clear, vinyl straps though thin, seem to be strong, and the snaps work well.I bought these to make eyeglass hangers to sell, and I will have to weed out the best clips to make them. Then I will have to file the 2 teeth that grip the clothes and make those surfaces smoother. I may have to cut off the too-long pin with wire cutters, if I select some of those clips to use. Extra work that I did not plan to do. Wish I had spent a little more to get a better quality clip that wouldn't need this babying. This is the first time that I've bought these, so was inexperienced, but generally price is related to quality. What I have to compare them to is a salvaged clip that I have. It is very-well made and of better quality. Much more desirable for my project.Sometimes cheaper does not pay, except when it's a REAL bargain. I'll use the worse clips to make hanging windchimes, twirlers and other home/patio decor and studio organization for around my house and outdoors.

Did the job I needed it to.
II bought these for a project I'm working on. I am making bracelets for women to use in a situation where they must often tote around a little piece of paper. I liked that these could snap on and off the bracelet so that if the women wanted to change how they use the bracelet they could do so easily. These are very sturdy and the snaps are easy to operate.

Four Stars
The plastic is a little weak, but all in all they work well

Versatile clips, not just for your name badge!
First off, I bought these to be cable keepers for headphone wire keepers and not for their designed use. I actually got the idea for using these from a recent conference. When back home and my plastic headphone wire clip holder broke, the kind that have a small plastic clip that clips onto the wire (if it doesn't break first!) and then has a small alligator clip like molded plastic with a spring, that clips on your clothes, collar, whatever.I took the clip, like these, to replace the holder. These actually work much better than the now very expensive little plastic clips ever did!I just put the wire on the plastic that is held by snaps, wrap the headphone wire once so there's a loop caught in the plastic snap, and done! Holds better and can be moved if needed to adjust length. This pack of 40, several years worth for me!, cost considerably less than the last 6 pack of plastic headset wire clip holders I'd bought. So maybe you don't need all 40, there were smaller amounts available but I liked the economy of the 40 pack. Recommended!

Very poor quality, plastic is flimsy and will not hold up; metal clamp jaws do not match up on many; small rods holding the clamps together are all different lengths and potential to cut/stab/damage clothing. VERY disappointing!!!!
