I bought two of these nearly three years ago. They've held up amazingly well over that timeframe. My dogs use them daily. The small size works very well for my dog weighing 27 lbs (pictured). The medium fits, with some room to spare, my other dog weighing about 37 lbs.You might consider topping these off with a microfiber blanket (pictured), which I've found much easier to shake out and wash weekly than the bed's fabric shell. Yes, the shell is plush, durable, and washable, but taking it apart and putting it back together again is a bit of effort. And, the top of the shell, at least the sand color, shows every bit of drool.

We just remodeled and bought a new couch, and I vowed to not let my dog mess up the new couch like she did the last. She’s a couch dog and I thought it would be tough to get her to stay off the couch. We bought a standard cheap bed (thin mattress) and she only slept on it when we were home, back on the couch at night and when we were gone. The couch gives her good head support, it’s soft and cushiony and it just beats a hard floor. So I was on the hunt to find something that mimics what she got from the couch. Stumbled on Casper’s and admittedly was sticker-shocked. I debated spending that much money on a dog bed. Various reviews pulled me in and decided to try it. Here to tell you it’s worth it! She loves it! I haven’t seen her sleep anywhere else since I got it 3 weeks ago, including the couch! It is pricey, but it may be worth it for you too.She’s 75 lbs and the large is perfect.

I think this is a good alternate, a little expensive but with good built quality, and looks and feel nice and comfy for the dogThe fact that all the inside is built in parts makes it a little difficult to put together after washing, but not the end of the worldI wish it came with cooling gel as my dog gets hot sleeping on it.

The bed is firm and holds its shape. I have 3 Dachshunds and they all sleep together on the size Large bed. I covered the dog bed with a waterproof bed liner then it’s bedding.

I never write product reviews, but after spending a significant amount of time shopping around for dog beds I thought a review could be useful for others.I purchased this Casper bed, along with a Sealy Lux Quad Orthopedic Bed, to replace two Eluxury orthopedic mattresses that I purchased 2 years ago. The Eluxury mattresses were no longer supportive and my Goldens were sinking into them.I was disappointed with the Casper bed as soon as I opened the box. The bed consists of 5 separate pieces (and a cover) - 1 mattress and 4 foam sides - and the mattress section itself is quite small for a large. Coming out of the box, the mattress looked and felt like a low-quality foam pillow. It was light-weight and seemed flimsy. I unpacked it and let it sit for a few hours to let it expand and take shape....but 2 hours later it was still scrunched, misshapen, and flat. This actually turned out to be a good thing, since it made the Casper bed easier to get back into the box in preparation for returning it. I tried lying down on the Casper myself, and it was extremely uncomfortable. It was not at all supportive and I could feel the hard floor beneath me. The price of this bed is outrageous for the quality; it is worth about a quarter of what Casper is charging.The Sealy, on the other hand, felt heavier and denser than any foam dog bed I have felt before, which is a sign of a higher quality foam mattress. The Sealy bed filled out quickly after unpacking it and was easy to assemble. When I tried lying down on the Sealy it was supportive, without being hard.When I purchased these two beds I was actually more skeptical about the Sealy. I anticipated wanting to keep the Casper and return the Sealy, but we will definitely be returning the Casper and getting a second Sealy.I'm surprised at all of the positive reviews for the Casper. My guess is that these come from people that have not tried out a lot of other foam dog beds. The cover does seem to be pretty nice...perhaps that leads to the higher ratings?

Great bed if you are looking for a bed your dog will love. The cover can easily be removed for washing, so the bed remains fresh and clean. We also use it in our car for long trips as it helps to keep our dog calm and comfortable.

I've been going back and forth on whether my shih tzu (at a chubby 17 pounds) REALLY needed this bed or not. She's getting up there in age so I decided that I may as well bite the bullet now before she can't get too much use out of it. Honestly, at first she was a little skeptical, which made me feel as though I'd wasted my money on an item I couldn't use. I put a few of her favourite toys and blankets in the bed the next day, and she gave it another shot. Now, it's difficult for us to get her to use another bed (we have a few around the house). Before she would take herself to the closest bed and sleep. Now, I constantly see her seeking out the Casper only. She really loves scratching away at the surface of the bed, and it's definitely held up really nicely against all of her abuse. Still looks new! It's well made, easy to clean, and the dog loves it! My only regret is that I didn't buy it for her sooner. If you're thinking about this item, I would go ahead and give it a try. Your fur baby will thank you!
