UPDATED! Bent BarBell Sleeve
ORIGINAL POST: I've used this for Crossfit about 3 times a week since I purchased it last November. My max deadlift is under 400 and I've never had anything over 225 pounds overhead, so the barbell should have no problem handling that weight. I really need someone from customer support to contact me regarding this. Otherwise, than this issue (which is a game changer), I liked the bar. Notice the angle of the left sleeve in the pictures.UPDATE: synergee customer support did contact me but they will not warranty this bar. “ For this barbell we only offer a construction warranty at the moment (manufacturing or shipping defects), bending is only covered in the warranty for 30 days after delivery.” is what they told me and that they would give me 20% off a new bar if I wanted to purchase a more expensive synergee bar, ha! Further more I’ve noticed peeling of the sleeves on both ends. See the picture attached. Save yourself some time and money (in the long run) if your considering this bar, and buy a reputable bar with a lifetime warranty. This bar is an inferior product and never again will I purchase anything from them. They obviously don’t stand behind the construction of their products.

Stout, quality bar. Great packaging.
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. Good bar, sturdy, with great bearings. It came shipped in a seriously well built tube that required some disassembly to open. Has taken a pretty good thrashing from me and my kids so far. No squeaks, squeals, or rattles in the 3 months we've beat on it. The only complaint was that the knurling is too sharp from my kids, and I would agree that it will bite you if you don't have any calluses. No biggie, just get some gloves if you need to.

No Complaints, great bar!
I was a little skeptical because when I was in search of a barbell I happened to come across this bar a brand of which I've never seen and the price was unusually low... at the time $100 but it was either this bar or the CAP or some other unnamed bar so I went with this... actually 2 of them... Purchased back in August of 2018, so after 5-6 day a week workouts up to this point this bar has been great! I was lucky enough to purchase at such a price and even at the current price this is a bar to buy it will get the job done and you'll be happy! Trust me. although be careful benching, keep them wrist stiff, this bar is a great Olympic bar but when it comes to benching it can slip out of your hand pretty easily.

Arrived well packaged and matches my expectations
I consider this a 5 star product. First and foremost, it was shipped to me in a very, very sturdy cylindrical container to protect the bar during shipping. Huge plus on that! The packaging and the sturdiness of the cardboard did mean that it took some time (15-20 minutes?) to undo the fastener screws and cutting through the cardboard container to finally get the bar out, but I'd much rather have to do that than have a bar arrive damaged in some way. Having finally gotten the bar out of the packaging, I inspected it for any damage and matched it against the photos on Amazon.com of the product to make sure I received what I had seen in the photos. Everything matched up and looked good. The knurling on the bar is slightly abrasive enough that I suggest you do as I did, which is wear workout gloves when training. I don't consider the knurling a bad thing on the bar. I'm just mentioning these details since this is a review and hopefully my observations help others in making a decision to buy or not buy. The shaft of the bar is black (as advertised) and seems to have been coated with some type of lubricant. I'm guessing that is to done to prevent oxidization of the bar while it is / was sitting in some fulfillment center waiting to be shipped. It's not a detractor -- I still consider the product to be 5 stars -- but something to point out. Over time, I am sure that that slight lubricant coating will go away as I continue to use the bar and grip it here or there. Using gym chalk would probably help in that process, but anyway, it's not a deal breaker for me. So far, I haven't loaded the bar with a boatload of 45 lb plates, but the quality and heft of the bar is what I'm accustomed to in commercial gyms, so I don't have the impression that it would't hold up to its advertised load capacity. Regarding the price: I ordered this bar in August 2020 and it took about a week to get to me, so I paid the Covid-19 jacked up prices that is occurring on pretty much all exercise equipment, but especially with weights. Needless to say, I went into this purchase knowing full well that I was paying a premium at $275+ for an Olympic bar, but it's the way of the world right now in a free market and I'm not going to use that against the seller or take away a star on the product itself. I would've been very upset had the bar not met my expectations, but thankfully, that wasn't the case. I'll include some close-up photos of the bar so you can see, however slight, the knurling of the shaft and the ends of the bar. (No, the XMark branded plates did not come with the bar). I know there are a lot us die-hard gym goers that are having to build our own home gyms during this pandemic, so hopefully my review steers you all in making informed decisions on what to buy and what is pure garbage.

nice bar
had for just over a week now, love this bar, its really all i need, was better than my old cap bar, looked at a lot of bars and got this one, very happy, my old cap bar as i learned was thicker, 33mm compared to 28 on this one, never new there was a difference, but it does make a difference on feel, knurling is nice, had worn off my old one, reason i started looking in first place, old one had ribbed ends, new one is smooth, this is nice as weights slide off way better now, this one has bearings, took old one apart and was a plastic shim, and the big thing was always thought 7ft bars weighed 44 lbs, got this one and felt heavier, so i weighed them, old bar was 33 lbs, well darn, learn something new everyday

Amazing quality worth the price.
Ordered this bar based off of need. I ordered a cheaper bar, but it got lost in shipping. This one had the lease amount of time for delivery. Both bars ended up arriving on the same day. Even though the synergee was ordered 7 days later. This bar is amazing so much better quality. No squeaks, high end finish. Came with extras like lifting straps and some kind of bar wrap. This bar is worth the money, based off my opinion, and I am cheap. Check this bar out. Fits my titan bumper plates perfect.

Not the quality I expected
So - yes, this bar will hold weight and allow you to exercise so functionally speaking it is completely fine, its just not the 'professional' feel I was led to believe. Instead know that this is a cheaper knock off of a mainstream brand and I have concerns about the longevity, especially atheistically speaking.Essentially I was waiting for a competitors bar to become available before settling for this one due to its availability so that my wife could join in on her New Year resolution and begin lifting with me. In truth, I wish I would have waiting for the proven brand to become available. I am a licensed machinist so know the difference between a quality metal product and a cheaper one, this is definitely on the cheaper side that is not reflected in its price. I have other bars, including the equivalent competitors bar (mens) and the differences are night and day.First off, this bar comes smothered in oil. Upon cleaning it up to the point where someone would want to use it I already noticed 3 areas of surface rust penetrating the phosphate finish and the minor swelling under the chromed ends all an early indication of the bar being made from cheaper steel that was likely rusted to begin with and are the source of my concerns with longevity. I'm guessing that they know this bar will rust which is why they used so much oil likely to try and hide the fact they started with cheap steel keeping it rust free for when you receive it only. Then, the knurling depth is not even telling me the bar was not properly supported during the knurling procedure. Also, the knurling ends gradually instead of abruptly. Because of this it is very hard to see the start and stop of the knurling easily which proves to be problematic when your trying to quickly center your hands when gripping the bar (To combat that I used 1/4" wide colored) tape and marked the bar appropriately. I only ever used popular brand names in the past and have never realized how important this was until now. I can easily tell where the knurl ends on my other bars and the knurling is the same depth all the way along each section leading me to believe they have a better process when controlling the knurling.Lastly although this bar has bearings and spins freely they definitely feeling like cheaper off shore bearings. I know first hand that even with the same specs off shore bearings are so cheap compared to domestically manufactured ones (as a machinist I have installed thousands of bearings). Again, I also have the benefit of having a side by side comparison of competitors bars and the difference is quite noticeable, these being loose and sloppy while the competitors are tight and smooth. Fingers crossed that I'm wrong here as this is based off of feel but I really hope this doesn't effect the longevity of their function. Please know at this point this is just an observation but I wouldn't be surprised if they fail or break down especially if you continually drop this bar.Anyhow - Overall in my opinion this is a cheap bar being marketed at higher quality then it is. This is a bar I would expect to find at a Walmart or Canadiantire and nothing more. It will work for what it is but I do think for sure it will rust quickly and that the bearings will not last nearly as long as a professional bar. I think this bothers me so much as the professional bar I would have bought if it were available was only $40 more but is the final product is much nicer. In my opinion if this were a sub $150 bar it would be good value as this bar was not the quality I was expecting and there is clearly a reason the Crossfit games uses specific brands.

Excellent Olympic Barbell
Pros:- Really liked the quality and material of the barbell- The black bar color is pleasing to the eye (for me at least)- Packaging is VERY STURDY (may need to brute force your way out of it, especially the end caps)- The grip is very goodCons:- The barbell came in very oily, and I had to wipe it out several times to leave the residue out. I left it in the open air for a few days before the oil smell was gone.Overall, highly recommended barbell and quality.

High quality bar from synergee!!
The quality of the synergee bar is off the hook. I did my first workout with it and it feels really premium. I love the black part they painted, it blends very well with my squat rack.Something I didn't like though was when I opened the box and remove the pastic, the bar was super oily. I don't know if it's to keep it rust proff but I needed to clean it with a towel and soap to get rid of the oil. It's was just TOO MUCH. Besides that, it's a must buy if you are looking for a gym bar.

Great quality!
Very nice weight, high quality grip and packaging was really nice preventing any damage. They threw in a bunch of nice stuff like hand grins for deadlifts and resistance bands (small ones)
