The best features about this scale are the price, screen size and accuracy. I have included some photos to illustrate the accuracy of this fishing scale compared to my shipping scale. I like the large numbers on the screen which makes reading it much easier. The accuracy is fantastic. I will be using this scale to weight fish, however, its not limited to fish. You can weight anything. I use it to weight my reels and lures as well. One improvement i could suggest for a next version is to make it waterproof or water resistant. It uses two AAA batteries (not included). This fishing scale is perfect for every fisherman thats on a budget. It does the job without breaking the bank. I recommend this product.

Right out of the box, I could tell this was a high-quality scale. Packaging was attractive, and it came with a set of easy-to-follow/use instructions. The scale requires (2) AAA batteries for operation, which are not included.Tested against the scales of two other fishermen I was with, the MadBite scale was 100% accurate to one scale, and 1 ounce off the other one each time. To me, that's pretty darn accurate when measuring the weight of 5 fish ranging from 8oz, to 7lbs 14oz. The MadBite scale was also nearly HALF the cost of the other scales it was tested against!In summation, this scale is on par with scales twice its price. No need to throw money away, when MadBite is consistently turning out high-quality product is like this at half the price of the competition. All in all, another great product from MadBite Fishing that I highly recommend!

This one is still a work in progress. The weight scale is very good and accurate. I use it to weigh suitcases before flying and also weigh backpacks. But I've gotten two of them (returned the first) both of which are 15 to 20 degrees F low on temperature readings. I'm trying to work with the seller directly on this. While the temperature is an added bonus, and I'd buy this without, it seems like it shouldn't be that hard to get it right.

I have been using this scale for about a week now and I love it! I try to get out and bass fish daily, so I have put this scale to the test. It is affordable, easy to use and very accurate. I appreciate the fact that you can weigh your fish and use the same device to measure it witht he built in tape measure. It is very easy to switch between lbs, kgs, and ozs, by simple toggling. Another feature that I found helpful was that the hook actually adheres to the back of the scale magnetally for easy storage. I also find it convenient that it has a built in thermometer to advise as to the outsidde temperature while fishing. Great product at a fantastic price. Definitely will not be disappointed if you purchase this item!

This is a handy little gadget, and the following are its features:- Scale display is large enough for my old eyes to read.- Display has a backlight function.- Functions are relatively easy to learn. Have to read the instructions, though.- Switches give a good click when you press them.- I especially like the "lock" or "hold" function, which keeps your weight reading displayed. Your fish is going to have to stop wiggling to get it to lock, though. In other words, it does not hold maximum but the stable weight.- The thermometer on my unit is way off by 25 degrees F. It reads 50 when the actual temp is 75. I didn't buy it for the thermometer, though I may see about getting it exchanged.-

I'm updating this review to 5 stars based on customer service. After finding out that I had problems with the scale they sent me a new one. The new scale has worked as designed. Awesome customer service. OLD: Purchased this scale for the price and the great reviews. Upon receiving I installed batteries and everything worked as stated. Put in the boat for future use. About a month later while fishing in a tournament, I grabbed the scale to weigh a fish and it wouldn't power on. Removed the batteries and re-installed and got power. But would only read in Kg's and no buttons would work, couldn't change units, etc. Upon returning home I replaced with fresh batteries and same problem. So I got zero use out of this scale before it went bad.

Great scale for fish up to 110 pounds! My usual scale only goes up to 40 lbs so I needed something that was capable of weighing larger fish and this scale was up to the task!Recently went on a tuna trip and weighed fish up to 50 lbs. Compared it with several other scales and it seemed to be very accurate and the backlit LED was extremely useful checking weight at night time. The hook stays on the magnetized back cover very well making it easy to carry around or transport. Large hook was great to have so it held onto lip/gill area well enough to lift large fish.For the price, you just can't beat this scale.

I purchased this fish sale as well as a grip scale as my county's lake as a fishing limit as well as pound limit.This is more of a traditional scale with an Aluminum body, a handle at the top and a hook at the bottom. There are markings on the body that measures both in kg & lb and goes up to 25 pounds. I wanted to check the accuracy of the scale, so I weighed some small weights and it gave the correct weight.Overall, I do like this fishing scale. It's very simple to use and it fits perfectly in the bottom of my tackle box.
