A time saver instead of measuring rolls
I have a lot of rolls of leftover electrical wire and it's hard to tell if I have enough length to run through a conduit. Before I got this tool I would have to unroll the wire and measure it manually. This cable resistance tester makes the process a lot quicker. No more need to unroll just to measure.Keep in mind this tool uses the international standard, mm2, so you need to convert to the American standard AWG for the wire gauge. Good tool - was nervous but got it to do what was needed
I was needing to see how long of runs (1way ) some wire. The instructions say this is for seeing how long a roll is. Most wire I use has numbers of feet printed on it. I was able to connect two wire on one end and just divide the number in 2 to get my overall length. I had 50 of these to do out of the 50 I pulled 4 of them and did an actual length measure. 3 were basically right on and one was less than 2 foot off - it said it was just shorter than what it was. Wasnt that big of a deal for me. I really like the tool and it was quick and easy to use. Worth the cost!

shield came off when took off sticker
got the product on time but plastic shield for the screen came off when I took off the sticker when I went operated it also the battery compartment door looks like its not going to last long. so I will return it.

It’s ok
Pretty much none of the preset dial selections match AWG. So you’ll need to use the user programmable selections. It’s kind of a hassle but it’s worth the trouble.

Metric -no AWG hard to convert exactly
If you go by AWG American Wire Gauge this does not convert very effectible. That equals to improper lengths on a spool or wire. And when converted[math] the dial does not come close to be accurate
