I live in a big city and off a busy main road, I realized my bedroom window was completely transparent at night so I needed something more than the sheers I had. These bad boys do the job! They are totally black out curtains, my phone adjusted to the darkness in my picture but they really do cut off all the light coming in and giving that privacy I was hoping for. They don’t have a texture type surface it’s a smooth surface, which to me didn’t really matter they aren’t ugly or cheap looking. They definitely have some weight on them at least 4 extra pounds hung up. Bc of it being a heavier curtain I can definitely imagine it will insulate in the winter and keep in the AC in the summer. They do muffle sound, just not drastically, which for me was totally fine but if you’re looking for noise cancellation these aren’t that. I was able to easily layer my sheets over the white panels and it was perfect, super happy.

Good blackout curtains are actually hard to find for a decent price. I try to avoid items on Amazon that come from random sellers based out of China, but everyone knows that’s an unrealistic rule to stick to 100% on this site. After doing a few hours of research and not finding anything with a wide variety of lengths, colors, good reviews AND an attractive price point I bought these again (have bought them before) for my living room windows and am so pleased with them. They just work. They also don’t seem to attract lint or dust and stay remarkably clean, even though they’re white. I just love them. They block out the sun 100% when properly closed and with blinds behind them.

I bought these in the olive green to go across a large bay type set of windows to block out the glare on our television. They are 52"x84" and the opening I was covering was 102". I did not take into account the amount of width that would be lost due to the pleats naturally caused by the grommets so when pulled together there's still a little gap on the edges. But I can live with it because they don't make the color I wanted in a wider size. The quality of the material is really good and thick and the black backing really does block 100% of the light coming through the windows. However, there is no direct sunlight coming through those particular windows so I can't really speak to whether they will block 100% of direct sunlight. They were pretty wrinkled coming out of the package and the directions for ironing said low heat. Low heat would NOT remove the wrinkles and I was able to set the iron hotter without causing any damage. It just took a long time to remove them. The edges of the curtains flare out which does not give them anywhere near the finish of a custom set but then you get what you pay for. I gave a 5 star rating on "sheerness" just because they aren't sheer at all which is what I wanted and an overall 4 star because of the flaring of the edges.

I'm a complete novice when it comes to buying and installing curtains. Fortunately my daughter isn't. I thought I could order two panels that covered my large bedroom window, but that wouldn't have been possible. She told me to order four panels (two packages) instead, which worked. I also learned that it's best to have the curtain rod installed a few inches above the window for optimal light blocking. I ordered the slate blue curtains and a curve-around blackout rod (separate order). I'm very happy with them; they not only block out 99% of the light but also a considerable amount of noise. Our neighbor across the street was cutting up tree branches, and I was thrilled that the sound diminished when I closed the curtains. Yes, the curtains are a little wrinkled, but I don't particularly care. YMMV, of course.

These definitely block the light, my bedroom is completely dark even in the middle of the day with these curtains closed. I don’t really need the light blocking, but I did want thicker curtains to help insulate my windows against the cold winter weather and I do feel like they help. The color is a very bright white, just what I wanted. They do seem to be holding some winkles from where they were folded in the package, I haven’t tried washing them because some reviews said they lost there super bright white color but I plan on steaming them, I just haven’t gotten that far yet.

Not super dark like other pictures but it’s better then it was before. Great for babies nap. I live in a house that was built in the 1900s and the busy street in front of our house is loud. Some how these curtains help lower that noise from the cars passing. I would recommend 100 percent!! Also the material is great quality and so soft!! One thing that’s annoying from amazon is that there is wayyyy to much option of the items your lolking for and you have to search hours to find a good one. Look no more just get theses. I got the 52W by 63L. Thinking it would be short for my window but i would have rather gotten the 52w by 54L. Go with the measurements and don’t doubt yourself! Like i did.

The photos are of the same view. The one with the curtains closed is at the same time of day that was creating a glare on my lens from all the light coming through the window. These curtains are BOMB. Honestly they almost work TOO well. It’s hard to get out of bed when my bedroom is like the inside of a womb. But absolutely recommend. Well worth the money. The fabric is also nice and wrinkle free, if that’s what you care about. I got them so I can sleep after my overnight shifts. They’re just as effective as taking several xanax lol. 10/10

I recently started working night shifts at the hospital and these are fantastic for sleeping during the day. I have a south-facing sliding door, which means I get a harsh, bright angle most of the day, especially during the winter. It looks like nighttime in my room with these! And the pink looks exactly how I hoped it would. I rarely write reviews, but I was so happy with my purchase, I had to write. Thank you!

These are amazing blackout curtains. Beautiful and good quality. Completely blocks the sun in my spare bedroom which has direct sunlight. Great price as well!

You can’t put a value on a good night’s sleep. I used to be tired at work all the time. Then I got these. Now my bedroom is so dark I can’t tell the difference between my eyes being open or closed and I sleep like an absolute brick.I use Velcro strips to stick them to the walls and to each other - cuts down on all light getting through around the edges.

I spent a month researching noise cancelling curtains and NICETOWN were highly recommended. I finally took the plunge and got these, like others have subsequently mentioned the material on these curtains is thinner than most regular curtains, they dont look up market and once hung resemble more of a long sheet than a nice curtain. Regardless of the asthetics I was desperate to get a noise cancelling curtain to combat road noise and these were supposed to be perfect for that. I can tell you they have made very minimal difference difference on that front. VERY DISSAPOINTED. If any one can recommend a product that actually does help reduce noise levels from windows please comment. Thanks.

I bought these because I get migraines and sometimes just need the darkest room possible. The curtains themselves are fantastic they block out light, however I will need to look at changing how I hang them because light does escape from above because the curtains are not flush with the wall due to my curtain rod. I find the curtains all hang quite nicely together (I have 4 panels) and I can set them up so there is no light that leaks through its one nice solid wall of no light. I think these are fantastic and would definitely recommend them to others.I have included 2 photos, you can see where the light gets in from the top because of my curtain rod I have at the moment, but that also gives you a good idea of how much light these curtains are blocking out because under that is just darkness. First photo is without flash and the second photo is with a camera flash.(the photos were taken just after I unpackaged them and hung them, the wrinkles you see worked themselves out over time and now hang nicely)I don't know if it helps with noise cancellation or energy savings or any of that, but it works perfectly for what I needed it for, which is room darkening.

Love these curtains! Great material, nice and soft. Specially love that they are pure white. Hard to find a curtain without the greyish tinge. Had been concerned that the black on the back would show. Doesn't show at all. Photos show the curtains right after they were taken out of the packaging and hung up. Therefore, the wrinkles. Hoping that with time the wrinkles will come out. Have not washed them yet. Highly recommend!
