Euthanasia is the most important topic in medical ethics in our time. The authors deliver scholarly and well-referenced arguments for and against legalization of euthanasia. In my view, Dr. Keown has the stronger arguments pointing out the dangers of legalization, both theoretical and practical, as demonstrated in the Netherlands, Belgium, and (increasingly) Canada. The book is an outstanding introduction to this increasingly relevant topic in public policy.
