“Handpainted with the most delicate brushes”For someone to paint something in incredibly fine detail, you not only need to have delicate brushes but a steady hand, especially when you’re painting something at this scale. The majority of the figures are tiny, not even an inch tall and the faces are 2mm wide. Unless you’re working under a microscope, you don’t have a hope in hell of getting the human faces spot on. Goofy, Mickey etc are pretty good (Eeyore looks slightly bumpy and uneven), but the human faces look like something out of a horror movie.If this has been slightly bigger, I think more effort could have been made at getting the faces better. As it is, it’s best you’re looking at this from a distance and identifying the characters by their outfits/colours, because Aurora and Cinderella are going to give me nightmares.This lights up and requires 3 AAA batteries, however can be connected to mains as well (with a suitable adapter, which is not supplied). For the price, I was expecting more lights, as I’ve seen previously on Bradford Exchange items. The ice lights up from underneath but only three other sections are lit, lending a slightly eerie feel to the whole ornament if all the lights are off. The tree on the left hand side, the castle in the middle and the house to the right all light up, but the lights aren’t very bright and don’t illuminate what’s in front of them. If the lights had been brighter and illuminated more of the scene, then I wouldn’t have knocked stars off of this.The rest of the detail on this is lovely, and will look nice in the centre of a table in the run up to Christmas, I just wish the characters had been better. Even if there had been less characters, it still would have made a nice scene. I am just feeling quite resentful of the price I paid for this, and the quality of the work I received. I think I will stick to bigger pieces in the future, to get the better quality.

This is beautiful can’t wait to put it on display for Christmas time I absolutely love it

Not worth the money way smaller than what I thought

Poorly painted and built

Bought it, read reviews afterwards and it became clear it would be smaller than it looked in the photos. Accepted that, but when it arrived. Not only is it smaller than the photos, but looks nothing like it at all. The characters, houses and castle look nothing like the photos. Would not recommend anyone to purchase this item.
