Mengshen Baofeng Original Waterproof USB Programming Cable + CD Software for Baofeng Waterproof Two Way Radio BF-9700 BF-A58 Walkie Talkie BF-XP

I was skeptical at first before purchasing this product due to the negative reviews but it is the only cable that ships fast enough for the Baofeng/Anysecu UV-9R radio. I was able to get it to work absolutely fine. I am using windows 10 and the latest version of CHIRP. The item also came in good condition. Its unfortunate that the other customers had bad experiences but if you know what you are doing you can get the cable to work fine. (Save for those who received broken items).

Got the cable + disc it a timely fashion, neither of those things is my issue.My issue is the cable needs a driver, it is recconized by tge computer, but no driver, i assume the disk contains said driver, but and maybe this is my problem only snd no one else has it, but i dont speak mandrine (or maybe traditional chinnese, i dont know as even the computer doesnt know how to display the characters) to be fair there are a couple english charatures with numbers in there, but nothing that even slight corresponds with my radio, and nothing that says cable.No problem ill just hop on amazon (f-u bezos) and go to the website to download the driver, maybe its easier to understand, and that might be true, but i cant find it to make that determination.I personally know there are english speakers in china, but does anyone in china know that?For desperatly wanting to lead the New World Order, you think they at least making it seem like they were trying.

There is a new driver version available if the cable behaves erratically. I had no problems once I updated.

Cable worked great, but software CD was damaged Was able to go out on web for programming and drive software.

Excellent tool.

Does not come with its own screw. You have to use the one that comes with the radio.

I received my product on time. Looks like it should work but no screw came with to secure it to the radio. Gonna have to make a trip into town to see if the hardware store can set me up.

I have a new UV-9R. this cable arrived quickly and worked perfectly. I use Windows 10. This came with the driver for the cable which you must install first. This is the PL2303_USB Cable Driver. Once installed, only then connect the cable and check the COM port number in your device manager control panel. Install the latest version of CHIRP. connect the USB cable and connect radio. Ensure it is in frequency mode, turn the volume knob right up, then in CHIRP choose download from radio, select the COM port number you noted earlier, and for the model number choose UV-82WP. Should download OK, save the image then edit your settings & do an upload. All worked first time for me.

The cable does as it states and works well, it has no hassle being used.The good thing is that we have a floppy disc provided if you need the software which is extra and useful.That way you can be guaranteed of having a genuine factory software.Althoigh i must say that the cable is quite short which can be a problem at times.Also the cable is quite fragile and seems as if it can be broken easily.

I couldn't work out how to use the included software so I used CHIRP.I twas then able to programme my radio successfully.

hard to use and difficult to understand the "how to proceed", the instructions are useless and must make by yourself a research through the net to find how the programm works

Don't bother buying the software there are programmes on line that make life easier. The lead works well
