MAYHEM

just amazing. As I thought it would be.

A Masterpiece in every sense of the word. Granted it took a few listens for me to realise what Gaga's vision was with 'Mayhem'. Lets start with Expectations - Going in, I was expecting a Halloween-esque Gothic Pop record which I would have loved for a LONG TIME. What did we get? 80's funk, and disco. To say I was disappointed was an understatement but stay with me here, it is a 5 star review after all!! On my second listen I began to realise the Album is (in my interpretation) about Nostalgia. I don't think the Albums purpose was to make something 'New'. Instead it pays homage to the styles of music which influenced Gaga herself. In fact the first 3 songs are homage to the Gaga we fell in love with all those years ago. She clearly uses herself as a template for inspiration where in later songs she uses David Bowie (Killah), Michael Jackson (Shadow of A Man) and Phil Collins (The Beast) to name a select few. This many albums under her belt I should know better than to expect anything from Gaga. She will always do her own thing and this is no exception. So to go back to my first point, has Gaga made an Album I will play for a LONG TIME? Honestly, No she hasn't. She's made one I'll play for a LIFETIME!!

Fantastic to see Lady Gaga back with a bang!! Great mix of songs and sounds fantastic. I love the drum rythmns and synths. Her voice and the notes she reaches are brilliant. Not so sure about the art work for the cover designs though

Best album ever! Lady Gaga is such an incredible song writer and performer. She deserves the world!

very good

One of her best album

Mayhem is a bold, electrifying return to the kind of chaos only she can orchestrate. From the very first track, Gaga reminds us of why she’s still one of pop’s most fearless and innovative voices. This album seamlessly blends gritty electronic beats, glam-rock influences, and her signature theatrical flair, all while pushing her sound into darker, edgier territory. “Vanish into you” and “The Beast” feel like instant classics, combining emotional rawness with infectious hooks. Meanwhile, tracks like “Killah” and “Abracadabra” are pure adrenaline — wild, weird, and utterly captivating. Lyrically, Gaga explores themes of fame, identity, and the madness of modern life, but never loses her sense of fun or drama. What’s most impressive is how cohesive the chaos feels. Mayhem may be sonically unpredictable, but it’s clearly crafted with vision and intention. Gaga’s vocals are as powerful and expressive as ever, effortlessly shifting from tender vulnerability to full-blown rage. In short, Mayhem is a thrilling listen — a celebration of noise, emotion, and artistic freedom. It won’t be for everyone, but for fans of Gaga’s more experimental side, this is a dazzling, defiant triumph.

An excellent vinyl pressing with no unwanted noise of any description. A really good album with mainly up tempo material.

I simply cannot stop listening to this album. Her best work if you ask me. This deserves every single recognition comes its way. Well done.
