From 5 stars to 1 Star and Falling with Game Developer Coming Before any Prime Customers
I really liked Amazon Coins when I first started using them it was a decent deal you knew for $375.00 you were going to get $500.00 in Gold Value. Well $500.00 in Gold Value less Sales Tax something that to this day they do no time make clear. Now you never know what it is going to cost to get the $500 Gold Value it can range from $350 to as much as $400. Then the real reason for the 1 star and why I will no longer recommended that anyone use Amazon Coins is that Amazon who we their customer pays for the coins and who partners with game developers will not stand by you when a game developer such as Machine Zone for Game of War who has severe latency issues causing frequent drops during in app purchases and who can take a a day or more before replying to service tickets and when you do hear from Machine Zone they tell you to take it up with Amazon who processed your payment. When you bring this to the attention of Amazon they tell you that you need to go through the game application developer who tells you they can do nothing it is an Amazon issue. The vicious circle that no customer should ever experience has now gotten worse since I had at least 4 Amazon Customer Support representatives hang up on me and they never emailed the chat log of the chat support sessions. I was cool calm collected all I wanted was a refund of the coins for the order not received and explained the game developer and I had spoke did everything they instructed which in the end was to contact Amazon no matter how I asked to speak to someone who could help me a supervisor or manager it resulted in the Amazon Customer Supports representative hanging up on me. If Amazon is not going to stand with their Prime customers by having developer meet minimum standards and take care of issues or at minimum take care of customers and dock developers funds till corrected I will use other services.

It just seems like a cashgrab because you used to be able to ...
so i bought a LOT of these a while back when playing hearthstone and still do to this day... a year ago I would have given this product a 5 star rating but now they have less and less promotional offers and discounts concerning amazon coins and the prices have gone HIGHER even though more people are buying the product. It just seems like a cashgrab because you used to be able to save $9 and even more during promotional offers but now I honestly think I would be better off buying gift cards in bulk to save money. I hope amazon will be able to step up their game so that I can come back and give them a 5 star rating! Also, no promotion for prime day which is something that i was looking forward to...

Purchased coins are immediately deposited into your account and they never expire! So, please tell me why I will be losing coins if I don't use them by a certain time? I'm positive that all of the coins that I have (only 123 coins!) were bought and paid for by me! Normally, I wouldn't have made any in-app purchases, but I was really into this one game and I needed coins to advance, get extra lives and such, and get power-ups, etc...so I bought them, now I received an email stating that I will be losing 20 coins as of 6/01/16, that's not right or fair! I am at my wits end and I'm fed up with all of this coin business! 500 Amazon Coins

The coins did not give me a better deal that was worth the trouble
I bought these coins to use with the Hearthstone app, but did not know that this would require specifically running Hearthstone through amazon through an android device. After trying to find a way to refund the item and failing to see any way do to so other than wasting an hour with customer service, I finally was able to use my coins through an android emulator on a computer, which was way too much trouble. The coins did not give me a better deal that was worth the trouble, and since the minimum purchase is ~300 coins, I was only able to use 2200 coins - meaning I would have to buy more to actually spend all the fake money I bought. No thanks.

The new sales tax on digital coins makes these not ...
The new sales tax on digital coins makes these not worth it. You actually have to spend more money now, because oyu have to buy more coins to account for the extra sales tax tacked onto the coins and then some states have another tax on the purchase itself so they double dip. Just purchase directly from the app, these are no longer worth it.

Not my wisest purchase
I thought Amazon Coins would be a good deal, but after buying them I discovered that sales tax was being taken out of every in-app purchase I made.I also unfortunately bought the largest denomination possible because the description says they can be sent as a gift and I thought I would be able to transfer some of the coins to another Amazon account--I'm a US citizen living in Japan, and some apps require an amazon.co.jp login while others require the .com one.Evidently this is not actually possible. It also turned out to be quite a lot of work just to buy the coins and use them in any apps due to my issues with having registered shipping addresses and billing addresses in two regions. And then with the in-game taxes, instead of saving money it ended up costing me more than if I just hadn't bothered.Ultimately my purchase of Amazon Coins was a lot of time and money that I simply threw away. I can't say I would recommend them.
