works but not tried under extreme loads
I always buy thing well above the rating i need. My wiring in always fused and these are a convenient back up and work well for isolation but i dont trust them to work at there rated values. Ok for what they are

Ideal for what I needed
This was used on boat my yacht to provide a switching, safety breaker for a reverse osmosis water maker system.Small enough to hide away, and operates as per spec.

Not fit for purpose, very poor all round
Very disappointing, the product arrived broken.Inside, under a cover retained by four long rivets you will find a plastic spindle with a non conductive piece of circuitboard, this is the physical block to prevent the bi-metalic contacts from re-connecting without manually resetting. The spindle was snapped in two.I fixed this with a steel pin through the center of the spindle like a dowel and some epoxy resin.I then bolted the cover back down with some M3 nuts and bolts.Great I thought, I have saved myself a return and have improved on a weak design.Alas, it was not meant to be.This product was intended to serve its life as a breaker in a circuit in an automotive application as an engine coolant preheater.I measured the current draw to be 12A per heating element, of which there are three so a maximum of 36A, I accounted for higher ambient temperatures under the bonnet and selected wiring safe for 80A over a distance of around 3 foot maximum, I selected the breaker of 60A; well within the limitations of the wiring. The breaker, with the bonnet open, managed 15-20 seconds before opening circuit. At this moment I began to doubt my calculations and decided to test my circuit with standard fuses.80A fuse.....didnt pop60A fuse.....didnt pop50A fuse.....didnt pop40A fuse.....didnt pop30A fuse.....popped after two seconds.Based on my diagnostic, Ive decided that this product has been under engineered and is not rated correctly. It would not be safe to buy another, as a 120A under the assumption that its only credible to half of its rating.Poor effort with this, If I could give it zero stars, I think that would be too many.

A great addition to campervan wiring
I purchased two of these after re-wiring my camper-van leisure electrics and blowing the fuse a few to many times! These are really good alternatives, you can blow the fuse as many times as you want and just reset it! The switch is easy to operate and the breaker button simple enough to push. I use it as a cut-off for when the van is parked on the drive way! The 4 screw holes are plenty big enough to fasten the block to the van. I have had the unit trip a few times so I am satisfied that the unit is working correctly. The only thing i have noticed is that on one of these the pop-rivets keeps coming loose, not sure what it actually holds though and it doesn't seemed to have caused any other issues.

Uncommon mounting thread
Item appears satisfactory, but I could not find bolts to fit the thread in the mounting holes. They appeared to be something like an M4 with a 0.8mm pitch. I subsequently re-tapped them to accept a more common M4 x 0.7mm pitch bolt, which was a simple operation assuming you have a tap of that size in your tool kit.
