The main light is so bright that I'm going to forgive the shortcomings with the controls.
The media could not be loaded. This NEXTORCH flashlight performs very well with one gripe that might make you reconsider: Every time I "click" the big button, i.e., press-and-release the button, this flashlight turns on at maximum power, with the press, and then steps down to medium power upon release. It's possible that I'm fumbling the controls due to personally inadequate dexterity, but I think I have encountered a manufacturing flaw. As it is, I don't like this behavior of the primary control button, or perhaps how difficult it is for me to manipulated it with adroit manual dexterity. But it's not the end of the world. Instead of clicking the big button, if you click-and-hold the button down, you get maximum power, which is impressive. In the video, the gate at the end of the driveway is exactly 160 feet away from the flashlight.I own several NEXTORCH flashlights and this is the first one that I have found difficult to control without prior practice right out of the box. What I love about this flashlight is that the USB-c charging port is concealed and protected under the skirt of the light-head, which, when screwed shut, clamps down onto a watertight o-ring that keeps the charging port thoroughly protected from water and dirt. What a great design!I regard the red and blue lights as a mostly silly novelty which will see little opportunity for practical use. It's conceivable that they can be used as some sort of pre-planned signal where you have told someone ahead of time what the red, blue, or red and blue lights are supposed to mean. Such as come help me. But given how dim they are, such help would have to be nearly in range of you voice to be seen reliably (probably, I didn't actually test the light throw on these colored lights) but maybe you could set the flashing lights to serve as final beacon to guide first-responders to your accident or medical emergency. Otherwise, its a toy for amusing small children. Having said all that, nothing about the goofy red and blue lights detract from the other utilitarian functions, including . . .The strobe light, which gets actuated by the small button. One "click" and the strobe turns on. Click again to turn it off. Doing a very long press-and-hold of the small button accesses the red, blue, and the red and blue light modes.

Super bright
This flashlight is super tough, it's all metal and bright as all get out. Lights up the whole backyard, it's pretty impressive to get this level of lumens from a fairly compact flashlight. The strobe feature is interesting, I suppose it would come in handy if one were trying to signal location to another person. Haven't felt the need to break glass with it but I have no problem believing it would do the job.

Built like a tank
This flashlight is more of a heavy duty flashlight. The body of the flashlight is made of heavy duty aluminum with considerable thickness (see pic). The checkered anodized body allows for a secure grip even when it is wet. There is a section of the body that is machined with flat sides to prevent the light from rolling on smooth surfaces. The battery is a universal 18650 battery than can easily be replaced or changed out when the battery dies. The charging port is well hidden in an o-ring sealed area that is accessible by unscrewing the head of the flashlight. The battery status light is a nice touch and allows you to see the battery charge level while you are using the flashlight and when charging. The switch is innovative just like other Nextorch flashlights. There are two side mounted switches that allows for a flash mode with one press and if you hold it, a blue and red signal light activates around the head of the flashlight. The main switch powers on the light at high output when it is initially pressed and then drops to a lesser light output when the switch is locked in and released. The light pattern has a nice hot spot along with a generous flood pattern which provides powerful light output. Excellent quality.

Pretty spendy for something average...
I was honestly disappointed.... it's very basic and very spendy. It does work well but imo isn't anything special.

Great size, weight, and feel. Has a good range from low to high.
This flashlight is exactly the quality you would expect from Nextorch. It's well made, looks and feels like quality. There's something about these P80 series lights that just feel good in the hand. They have the weight and feel of a good flashlight, and are not too big or small, just the perfect size for carrying. This one runs off an 18650 battery that can be charged in a stand-alone charger or while inside the light from the hidden USB port. The buttons are easy to get to, and the white light has momentary on for that quick look. It has a good range too. Low is very low, medium is enough to see what you need to, and then you have high to really reach out there. This light has a lot of throw but still with enough spill to light up the side pretty well. The red and blue lights can both be cut on to flash, or each color can flash or stay on. I have several Nextorch lights, and every single one of them is a nice light that I think will last me a lifetime. If you need a good carry light, this is a good one.

Absolute Beast of a Flashlight
Check out the pictures closely and see how much thicker aluminum tube is compared to thin walled cheap flashlights. You could run over this with a truck or drop it on pavement and still keep lighting. The two buttons are easy to find and use.The head unscrews to reveal USB-C charging port. It came with a 18650 battery inside. The osram led has some greenish tint to it and is definitely low cri. But these are not as important in a tactical style light. What matters is that it is very bright on high and has several lower levels that function well too.In addition to the main light button there is a 2nd button that controls the red and blue ring functions as well as gives you instant access to the Strobe setting. It is very easy to use and pretty intuitive. I didn't need to read the manual to easily see how this light works. This is my 1st nextorch flashlight but it is not my last I am sure going to look into their other options.I would definitely recommend the Nextorch P83 flashlight.
