Secure and effective, never had slippage issues.
I ordered a set of these a while back and they work great. Had to order another after my boxer dog got ahold of one of them. These hold very well in place, and can even be used over a knee compression sleeve too, which I wear on both knees in addition to these.

It is definitely helping better than expected ..the velcro is not holding up to well as I use it everyday. I may have to ad some new velcro.
