New tools for your toolkit
Great read, both those already familiar with Steve’s work and those who are new to it. It mixes deep dives into the science behind the psychology of resilience and perseverance in the face of adversity while mixing in Steve’s story and others to help reinforce the point.

Useful frameworks, with detailed and layered storytelling
This book really helpfuly frames where to point your energy and attention to improve performance. The frameworks are clear, mindsets scientifically backed, and ilustrated with helpful stories. I also loved his previous book Do Hard Things, it was a helpful way to detangle strength and power from the more toxic elements of masculinity.

The Inside Game
Early into the book but thoroughly enjoying it so far. This might be Steve's best one yet! Looking forward to getting a few free days over the weekend, some good coffee, and really getting stuck in to the subject matter

Found this book at just the right time
Win the Inside Game by Steve Magness landed in my hands right as I was preparing for a major life transition. While I still felt the discomfort of change, this book helped me keep taking the next step. It grounded me in my values, reminded me of who I am and what I’m pursuing, and gave me tools to move forward with clarity instead of fear. His insights helped me regulate my nervous system and stay steady through uncertainty. It’s a book I’ll return to when I need to recenter and remember what real resilience looks like.

Invest in yourself
A timely book that helps the reader to navigate a world that seems more and more influenced by the attention economy within our "smart" devices. Magness's ability to write in a style that the everyday person can comprehend while still appealing to the literary preferences of someone with a scientific background is impressive and captivating. Well worth the read and the investment in yourself.

Super valuable for coaches, athletes, parents, teachers, and others
Magness does a great job of weaving together science and research findings with practical applications and experiences from his past. As high school coach I found myself regularly stopping to note down things that would be great to share with my kids, incorporate into our team practices, or adjust the way I support and communicate with the kids (and parents) on our team. I found this book really helpful as a coach, but the practical applications here are super valuable for any coach, athlete, parent, teacher, or really anyone looking to live in a healthier, more purposeful way in our current societal context.
