It was a present for a beginner, she loved it. All the tutorials are well explained, and the paintings are so beautiful that it gives you the motivation to try the next level.

Great for beginner . Easy to follow with interesting subjects

Easy painting exercises which are wonderful when you just want to paint and not have to think too much. I found them fun and not taxing.

This looks good and was recommended with the proviso that you do every product in order rather than skip around the lessons so that you learn the process. You start if simply but by the end of the book you can see how far you have progressed. It’s clear and precise with a good variety of themes and I’m looking forward to using it.

I bought this book for practice when I started watercolour classes and it is one of the best books on watercolour I have bought. In the introduction Emma Block explains the difference between cool and warm primary colours, which helped explain the strange sludgy purples I used to mix. All the techniques are covered and I found that the instructions were not hard to follow. Plus I love the way she paints trees as I am one of those people who believe that I should have every individual leaf on paper.

As a complete beginner with no experience this book is just what I was looking for. It is full of colour and different stages, a really helpful guide. I have managed to produce so pleasing pictures, I would buy from this author again. So impressed that I bought this again along with some paints to give as presents.

este libro es fabuloso, la edición y el contenido resulta sorprendente. es un libro que no solo enseña de acuarela muestra la simpleza y la abstracción del dibujo y lo fácil que resultar pintar con acuarela. Comprar libros en Amazon puede ser un albur, he comprado más de 40 libros de diseño y dibujo aquí y este libro está en el top 3 de lo mejor que he comprado. Tip: si lo compras para regalar compra 2 o no darás regalo ese día.
