Did what it should, needed more new gaskets
The gaskets fall apart quickly, doesn’t explain how to replace, and don’t include enough. Otherwise, works as intended.

Quality machine
Bought the "used like new" as this is something I don't use often, it works perfectly and pulls vacuum very fast. Everything you need to work on your A.C. the right way. Very good quality and very quiet

It works perfectly on the replacement. Pays itself off on 1st use.
7/18/21-The replacement arrived in 1-day. Nice! The box was again slightly damaged, but not as bad. A small chunk of box missing on the side...The replacement pump is great. Followed instructions for initial start as my original order. This one purrs like a kitten. Mind you, I wore ear protection for the original one because it was louder than my 3-gal air compressor. This kit doesn't come with the valve needed to connect refrigerant can, so make sure you get one if you intend on using it right away.I don't think this might be the 'best' pump since I'm not too confident in quality control...or maybe it's the shipper who knows. It's not like vacuum pumps are something anyone purchases too often...it'll pay itself off the first use versus going to a shop. Also, if you are doing this because you're constantly running out of freon, I'd suggest getting a leak tester. One of those electronic halogen testers worked great for me and found leak instead of messing with UV dye, glasses and flashlight.7/17/21- Once I followed the instructions to do an initial start, the pump made screeching/grinding noise. I immediately shut it off. It wasn't the oil...so I clicked it on for 2 more seconds and shut it down again due to the noise. Could NOT figure out what was making that noise. Only could speculate that the fan/motor was in contact with something internally. After REALLY careful inspection, I saw that the plastic fan in the vent was making contact with the vent grill. Thus making thst screeching noise. Omg I thought this was normal and thought I need to send this back immediately. So I've requested a replacement. If the second one does that, I'm giving up on this. No worth saving $30 for poor quality control.Manifold gauges look great though! Haven't had the chance to try those out yet due to the pump issue...

Perfect
This is surprisingly a very good set of quality gauges and the pump seems to be pretty stout. The price on this kit is well worth it. They were selling just the manifold gauges alone at the store for the price of this entire kit and it was no where near the quality. The kit comes with everything that you need. The pump takes about 3/4 of the oil so you can use the remainder to top it off as needed. The pump had no problem at all running for an hour straight. Very important you are going to need to pick up a tap for refrigerant cans. When you do so make sure that the tap you are getting comes with thread adapters. There’s a difference between a tap for self sealing cans vs. the cans that you pierce so pay close attention to which one you need. 10/10

It worked well
I thought the price was fair for the pump, gauges, hoses and fitting adapters. I used it to evacuate a new Senville Leto mini split that I installed. It did the job. I can recommend this product.

It pulled a vacuum just fine but stopped working intermittently tripping breaker inside
I will edit this if it begins working on a regular basis however I purchased this kit to pull a vacuum on my 2010 Toyota Highlander limited 3.5 L 2GRFE after I replaced the AC compressor. It worked as designed at first pulling a vacuum with no problem down to around 30 where it needed to be at to dry out the empty AC system. I ended up releasing the vacuum prematurely so when I turned it back on the fan binded in the rear of the unit and the internal breaker tripped making a click sound. Then after approximately 30 seconds you can hear it click again allowing me to try it again. It would run fairly well until you needed to shut it off for a short period of time and then it would fail again sometimes taking three or four cycles of clicking and locking up in order to restart a vacuum again. I was able to complete the project and then went to go box everything up a day later in order to return it since it was not working properly and I tried it again with no issues. I let it pull a vacuum on a capped end of the hose for about 15 minutes, shut it off and try to turn it back on again with no problems. I repeated this four more times and it did not fail again. This pump comes with the lubricating oil to operate the pump correctly and is very easy to fill up in the reservoir before your first use. Something tells me that it may take a while for this unit to fully and properly lubricate all the motor components and maybe just filling up the system and then immediately going to use it 10 minutes later was the reason why the motor was binding and shutting down. I will be returning this item just because of the defect because I will not be using it for quite some time and I'm not sure if it's going to work again like it's supposed to the next time. The gauges worked flawlessly and held vacuum as well as the quick connect on the low and high side.

Works great to pill vacc
Purchased to be able to service my own AC system. Unfortunately I have bigger issues but the vacuum works great. Once I replace my clutch I will be sure to use it again!

No R134 R12 can tap in the box
Buyers! Especially 1st time users. Be very carefull buying this kit. THERE ARE NO Refrigerant cap tools that come with it.You gotta be buying extra connectors. Thus kit didn't work well for me. There is a kit that's cheaper, same quality and comes with connectors. Do the proper research and definitely don't buy this kit.

It did its job
The pump worked as expected. I could not get the center valve on the gauge cluster to stop leaking air. I used the plastic cap from the pump to cover the valve. It did stop the leak.Instructions were very minimum. A little more detail would help but no problem. This was the first time for me to use the pump on a DIY heat pump install. It was all good. I needed to buy an additional adapter to go from 5/16 to 1/4.The pump did its job and I was able to save on installing. I would recommend and I would purchase again. But I am not a professional and I cannot compare to other units.

Worked well. Use it one time.
Need to buy the valve to fit the can of refrigerant. This kit can not empty a pressurize system, you need to go to a garage or else release your refrigerant in the air. I used this kit to replace a broken radiator so my refrigerant was long time gone. But for a compressor change we need a system that can pump into a transit tank. I should have invest more. So much fun, thanks to youtube tutorial.
