Gorilla Mode Base

Usual Gorilla Mode quality, great taste, smooth energy without jitters, and a formula that won’t wreck your guts if you are intolerant of creatine monohydrate which most pre workouts contain. Blue raspberry is good, might try the sour gummy worms next time.

I've tried quite a few pre-workouts over the years, and Gorilla Mode Base is easily in my top three so far. The taste is excellent. A lot of pre-workouts either taste overly sweet or have a strong chemical aftertaste, but this one is actually enjoyable to drink. It also mixes well without leaving a bunch of clumps behind. What I like most is the energy profile. Instead of a huge caffeine rush that hits hard and disappears quickly, the energy comes on more gradually. For me, it provides a steady boost of energy, focus, and workout drive for about an hour without making me feel jittery or causing a crash afterward. My only real complaint is the serving size. The scoops are massive, and it feels like you're using a lot of product every time. Because of that, it seems like the tub is going to run out much faster than some other pre-workouts I've used. Overall, this has earned a spot in my top three pre-workouts. Great taste, smooth energy, and solid workout performance. If the servings were a little smaller or the tub contained more servings, it would be very close to a perfect product for me.

We purchased the sour gummy worms flavor. The product is very flavorful, pricepoint is just right, the amount of caffeine per scoop is perfect. The flavor is honestly too strong. I doubled the amount of water and it's still just over the top too strong. I also don't get sour gummy worm vibes at all, it's more of a grape flavor. Really enjoy it, just wish the flavor was a little less intense and the name better reflected the flavor.

Great product. Doesn’t make you itch at all

In the giant landscape of clinically underdosed preworkouts, you can pretty much be safe with gorilla mode. Extra points for no proprietary blend bs. I much prefer gorilla mode base to regular one because it has less unnecessary ingredients, no creatine, and, as a result, considerably better taste; you should be consuming creatine separately anyway. So, ingredients are fully on point, let's talk about price and taste. Price at $35 per 15 workout days with double scooping (aka the proper dose) is not ideal, no way around it, but Derek needs more lambos, oh well. Regarding the taste, it's fine. Not amazing, just fine. Blue raspberry is probably the best one; I found bombsicle, cherry, and watermelon as meh. Keep in mind this is very subjective, there is so much variation in people's taste buds.

Felt great energy during the workout

I have always hated drinking pre-workouts because they often taste like straight up chemicals. Gave this one a try because I like Derek, and I ordered my least favorite flavor, blue raz, because the shipping was faster that day. It’s amazing! The color looks natural, the taste is very decent, and it gives me all of the effects I love about pre-workouts with none of the side effects/feelings I hate. No jitters, no flushed and tingly face, this stuff is the real deal.

Pros: I like the blue raspberry flavor! It’s on the sweeter side. Not tart. It is a bit intense with 2 scoops. You need lots of water to get a nice mix. Color comes from spirulina, not dye. So that’s good. Does not include beta-alanine, which I appreciate. I don’t love the itch. Lastly, it’s an ok value. On sale it was almost the lowest pre I could find. Cons: It’s just not very…effective? It made me sweat. Got my veins popping. And I felt a bit of a pump by the end of my workout. But it’s lacking that certain get-up-and-go motivating factor. Also, as previously mentioned, 2 scoops needs a lot of water. So I dealt with running to the bathroom and a general bloat/sloshing feeling during my workout. Kinda gross. Time will tell, but my first impressions are not great for this. Haven’t tried the regular Gorilla Mode (I don’t need the extra creatine) so I was hoping this would give me enough energy. So far it’s just ok.
