Bought this for my son & family and we enjoy it so much. Amazing what our grandkids say and divulge during these fun times. Parents too!! It is an awesome fun and easy learning experience.

Fun and functional
These cards are a great way to open conversations with young adults. They are disarming ways to ask questions and to get real answers. Like others have said, sometimes a question can be simple or short, but then you just do another card or two. The best part is when the question takes you on an unexpected conversation journey. 5 stars.

May Generate Hard Conversations Unintentionally
I have nine-year-old twin boys who tend to be a bit reserved when it comes to conversations with adults and peers. One has also been diagnosed with anxiety and ADHD and struggles dealing with his emotions and questions about his emotions. I stumbled across these Family Conversation Cards and thought they’d help generate meaningful dinner table conversation and help both boys to open up a bit. While there is a decent mix of questions and statements on the cards, both easier and harder to answer, I found that we had to skip some cards/questions as they could be too hard for kids to answer. The Family Conversation Cards and accompanying box/card holder are very well made. Printing on the cards and box is in color. The cards are semi-gloss and have a logo/icon at the top of each card above the question/statement — either a sun, a house, or two hearts. Although there’s no corresponding information providing indicating what these logos/icons mean, they likely correspond with the nature of the question/statement printed on the card. There are no rules as to how to use the Family Conversation Cards as it’s as simple as pulling a card, reading the card aloud, and answering the question/statement written on the card. These cards sit at my dinner table. Family members take turns drawing a card, reading the content of the card aloud, and each family member takes a turn answering the same question or providing a response to the statement. We continue in a clockwise direction until we finish dinner or just get tired of asking/answering questions. It typically lasts forty-five minutes to an hour. Most questions are open-ended questions requiring a lengthier response than a simple “yes” or “no.” Some questions/statements are also multi-part — requiring more than one answer. The majority of the questions/statements are easy and fun to answer and do allow for meaningful conversation. Other questions are a bit more challenging and, depending on the age of your child, family situation, or family dynamic, may be too hard to answer. For example, “What have you learned about relationships from your parents?” may be harder for a child with divorced parents, single parent, or a blended family to answer. A child’s answer to “What’s something you did as a child that your parents don’t know about” may upset some parents depending on the seriousness of the child’s response. Other questions may expose a child’s perceived “flaws” (“Do you think you’re good at making friends?” and “If you could change one thing about yourself, what would you change?”). Some cards may have words that are too “big” for elementary aged kids (introvert/extrovert, optimist/pessimist/realist, etc.) and may require further communication in order for them to answer the question or provide a response to the statement. Questions skipped or not answered by my kids revolved around why it’s important to be aware of our thoughts and feelings and sharing a memory about a family pet (our family pet passed away a few years ago). One of my boys walked away from the dinner table when asked to share a memory about our family pet.Overall, these Baregamyan 200 Family Conversation Cards do exactly what they’re meant to do — generate conversation. Just be aware that some questions/statements may be harder for some families to answer than others so you may have to be selective, as the adult in the room, as to what cards are pulled and read aloud.

Great for Family Dinner Time
These cards are now a permanent fixture on our dinner table. Before getting these cards, the conversations with our teens were more like: "how was your day? fine. What did you learn at school? nothing. What do you mean nothing? I don't know." Then the conversation pretty much ended at that. But now with these cards mom will pull one out and we'll go around the table one by one and give an answer. Sometimes they are a bit short and we'll do another card or two, and other times it seems like we are not sure if everyone got a turn at answering before we are done with the meal and just sit there talking about whatever comes up as the conversation evolves. These are great prompts to use to spark conversations at the family table, and possibly at extended family events and meals. Highly recommend these conversation cards.

So fun and thought-provoking!
I knew I'd enjoy these cards, but I wasn't sure about the rest of the family. We actually had our 12 year old asking us if we could do just a few more cards before bedtime! A 12 year old who'd play video games 24-7 if left to his own [literal] devices! that's the best endorsement I can give you. I'm planning to give these as gifts this holiday season. And, we'll continue using them as a family! We had a lot of laughs and heard stories we hadn't before. But none of it was corny or awkward at all.

Lovely family past time
We love this activity! Ever since we received it, we've kept it at the family dining table. Kids enjoy picking out a card or two every other day and we all have fun taking turns answering and discussing the questions. Some of the questions are pretty thought provoking! We've gone through several cards (it's a big set) and, thankfully, so far I've not come across grammatical and/or spelling mistakes. Other similar sets (different manufacturer) had glaring mistakes that were terribly distracting; we finally had to stop using that stack of cards. So far, no such problem with this set.

Good Prompts
We need to practice more conversation and have different topics than our normal conversations at the dinner table, so we got this. So far, we like the prompts and all family members are participating. I call this a win!
