Works great!!
Product--- VIVOHOME 1.5 Gallon Vacuum Chamber with Pump. This kit works great!!!! Assembly was quick and easy. 1 install the gauge assembly on to the clear top. 2 place the silicone ring around the top. 3 fill the vacuum pump with oil. 4 connect the hose from the gauge to the pump. This kit was up and working in maybe 10 minutes. Vacuumed the chamber down and had no problem holding vacuum for .5 hour. After initial test released vacuum and tested degassing liquid as seen in the photo. The little issues I noticed with the kit I received:1. The gauge seems off and does not return to zero (when unboxing it the kit, the gauge was already at 5. This is not a problem for me as I don’t need accuracy for my task) probably should give zero stars for accuracy.......oh well..........2. The pump has a hard time starting when under full vacuum. It did start, but it took a second or so to get to full rpm. Easy fix with the pump side of valve closed release the vacuum in the line by opening the cap slightly at the pump. Than close cap and start pump and slowly open the valve for pump side of valve to increase vacuum in chamber. This is a budget friendly kit and work very well. I am very happy with this kit and it works perfectly for my tasks.

This Product Sucks! In a Good Way.
This vacuum system is a solid choice for beginners. To enhance its performance, I recommend a few modifications. Adding welded locking hinges to secure the lid at four points would improve stability, and incorporating a removable shelf could increase versatility. Overall, it offers great value for the price and effectively meets its intended purpose. done.

good product
I am loving it, one month in - reliable, goes all the way to -30. One tip - do not use in cold environment as the silicon lid ring might not hold the pressure well.

Great Vacuum Chamber For Resin
Not sure why some of the bad reviews I saw on this item. I looked at several vacuum chambers for resin including this one and decided on this item. When I received it I read the instructions and used the included teflon tape on all the fittings that you screw in. I added the oil to the proper fill line and ran a test vacuum, and it worked great. I then mixed up some residual for a project and placed my form inside the vacuum pot and placed the lid on and pulled a vacuum. The vacuum held without any issues and did not lose any vacuum. I released the vacuum and pulled the vacuum again and this time let it sit overnight, when I checked in the morning the vacuum had not lost any of the vacuum from where I left it at, 29 bar. I am very impressed with this product and would buy it again. If you want to good vacuum chamber for resin or other projects don’t hesitate and buy this vacuum chamber. I was hesitant because of the few bad reviews, but this vacuum chamber does the job and does it well.

The instructions for setting up the unit are basically worthless.
You need to assemble the unit cover before you can use it. The instructions assumes that the you get a different set of parts. The supplied "tools" you get to put it together are 1) a toy screwdriver 2) a stamped wrench that is too big for any of the fittings. The valves and gauge are pre-assembled, but in my case, it was assembled hand tight, so you need to take it apart and put it together correctly using the Teflon tape (supplied). Then remove the protective cover off of both sides of the clear cover. Then use 1 steel washer and 1 silicone washer on the part that goes through the cover, then put the second silicone washer and the other steel washer on it, and use the brass nut to cinch everything snugly. You will need something other than the supplied "wrench" to do this because the wrench is too big. Then take the large gasket and fit it over the edge of the cover. Attach the hose to the barbed connector on the valve using one of the hose clamps and a real Philips screwdriver. Attach the smaller air release filter to the other valve.Screw the remaining barbed fitting to the pump using Teflon tape, and attach the hose to this with the other hose clamp.Follow the instructions for filling the pump with the supplied oil.Hopefully it all works for you.

Vacuum pot review
I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the box and assembled the unit. Every part of this unit was very high quality. The top was very think glass, the pressure gauge was glycerin filled and the pot high quality stainless steel. I vacuum tested this unit and it held very well!!
