These pliers are great for salmon fishing and all around fishing in general.

The leather sheath is nice and fits on your belt to keep it close.

Finding a set of pliers that are affordable and have a quality build isn’t easy. I was directed by a few colleagues to purchase this as the salt water season in New York was coming up quickly in early April. What I liked about the pliers was that it came with a sturdy sheath, and the pliers themselves were great for crimping, split rings and can cut mono/braid perfectly fine.The issues however were that the cutters started to come loose just after a few sessions of fishing. That was resolved with a small Allen key. Just be sure that the cutters are flat with each other before securing the cutters down.The lanyard that came with the pliers MUST be replaced. The cord snapped very quickly and even if you tie the remaining bit, the damage gets worse.I also recommend looping a belt through the sheath and not clipping it onto your belt, as it easily may fall off into the water as you wade in.Other than that, you can’t beat the price and with a few modifications, the pliers are a solid tool for easy fishing!

Great pliers. They’ve been in bluefishes mouths and still work great. The elastic could be a little longer though.

Keeper cord broke as soon as it was stretched the first time. It's garbage. The pliers are just generic $20 Chinese made pliers in a nice leather holster. If you like the holster, it's probably worth it. But definitely NOT American made as other reviews stated.

Have not used these in the field yet, however have used for standard spring fishing gear set-up (Heavy musky leader setup 130# flourocarbon and wire, and other general cutting/crimping/pulling), with no issues at all. They seem solid and very light. I see no reason they will not work for hook removal and any other thing that may pop up in the middle of a river. Most of all, happy to support a venture run by veterans. Thank you for your service!
