Very good quality, smooth-rolling casters. No instructions included.
These worked perfectly for a fairly heavy, single-seat, padded armchair. I had no trouble installing, however, they came with no instructions. If you are handy, you will have no problems. You need just a few basic tools: drill with 3/8" bit (it helps if you first use a 1/8" bit, and then move up to the 3/8"), and a hammer (or rubber mallet) to fully embed the metal insert.Optional items would include a measurement device to locate the exact positions for your holes (usually the center of the leg base).Drill your hole at least 1.5" deep, very straight, and very perpendicular to the surface, so that the caster pin, when inserted, aims straight down towards the floor. Don't wobble, otherwise your hole will become too large or oval shaped. You want the metal insert to fit just snug.Place the metal insert into the hole, and hammer it in until the teeth are full embedded into the wood. It helps if you either use a rubber mallet, or place a piece of wood on the insert before hammering, to prevent the metal insert from becoming deformed. Be sure the leg is supported well, so it doesn't move when you hammer, otherwise the teeth won't embed into the wood. Finally, simply insert the caster pin fully into the insert, until it snaps in. The caster will be held in by the metal insert, and will not fall out.

Smooth like butter
I wasn't expecting much for the price, but these casters look classy and have a super smooth roll; I have them attached to my hobby table which is on a very loose and floppy accent rug (with no rug pad) that bunches easily but under these wheels it stays in place! The table is second hand and came with 1" wooden casters that no longer worked. I chose these larger wheels to lift the table a bit more, and the female piece didn't fit in the existing holes...I could have drilled a wider hole, but the tapered design of the male piece on the casters allowed them to snuggly stay in place without the female.

Good casters that work well; odd size hole needed though
Would have given 5 stars but for the 9.1mm hole needed. I did find a Red Helix brand 23/64 drill bit at Home Depot that worked perfectly though - the package even equated it to 9.1mm. Would rather it required a standard size bit though.

Easily attached and great look
I took an antique dresser and made a coffee table with it. These rollers were easy to attach and look antique for my coffee table.

Casters
These casters fit the chairs perfectly and were easy to assemble.

Hard wheels, small contact area, not the thing for hardwood floors
The description says "appropriate for all floors" but be aware that they are made of very hard material and will mar hardwood even worse than hard round (not spherical) wheels.

Great match for older style (70's) furniture
Great look and quality. I would recommend the 2" casters for chairs though. Check weight rating for what you need.
