Perfect External CD Drive
My laptops doesn't have an optical drive and this drive works perfectly. It’s incredibly silent, which is a big plus when working in a quiet environment. The drive loads and transfers information very quickly, making it efficient for burning CDs or watching DVDs.This portable optical drive can be easily moved from one room to another, and plugged into any of the computers, to play DVDs, or load data from a CD, or burn some new backup data.Easy plug & play, and I have no personal need to mess with DVD region settings.The drive unit also includes SD card reader slots, which is a cool feature but I probably don't have a use for them to be integrated into my optical drive (I already have a card reader adapter).

Great to have one
I was looking to have something like this, great product. Access and speed is perfect . It is very easy to use and setup. Lens is perfect to read all the dvds and cds. Works great with my devices. Happy with the purchase and great value for the money.

DVD player connects to laptop
It works well. It operates a little slower than I expected but works well with my laptop. The extra cable inputs help

It is backwards compatible, comes with USB adapters
It worked with my ancient PC running windows 10. I was able to watch the instructional video for a new computerized sewing machine that probably cut 5-6 hours off the learning curve. Very glad to have this, reasonably priced and arrived pretty quickly.

Gets the job done.
The drive was easy to set up and worked great. I am using it to save data from old discs to the cloud. I've only had it for a few days, so I have no comment on durability.

Perfect drive
This drive works well, was easy to set up and the price is very good. Should I ever need another I will come back for one of these. I've used a number of external hard drives and find this one to be among the best.

Issues right out of the box.
Didn't work out of the box. Unfortunately I didn't open it when I got it and missed the return window.Edit...Seller worked with offering a warranty credit/return. I can't review the product as I had already purchased a different one however the customer service was top notch and came up with a solution.

Most new PCs these days do not come with a built-in CD/DVD read-write drive.
Easy to install and works well.
